Hi All
Did you like the Nursing Home Di, do you feel happy with Dad going there?
Hi Max
I worked there for a few months, previously worked in the hospital but went part time in that actual nursing home when my youngest was only small.
When I was there I did like it, always a good atmosphere and the residents always content, and now they seem to be more up on things, my dad has a thing for nurses from the Phillipines he is going to be well in his element LOL.;)
So at the time when I worked there - there were about 5 of us caring staff alongside with a ward shift care manager on each shift, and 36 residents, now called Service Users, and now today there are about 10 nursing staff a shift to the same amount of residents.
Dad seemed happy enough.
However, through patient confidentiality it was only today we were notified of the amount of tabs dad is given in the night time alone - 25 tabs without the tranquilisers:eek: and that is without the daytime meds.
The Care sister from the nursing home said they will have to be sorted out, and said they have never came across a resident that have been on so much medication.
thanks for asking Max, hope things are well for you and your family.:AXXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Dad's first night at the care home was good, he only woken once for a wee at 4 am then settled back down again.:T
He had his shower and breakfast, and the staff nurse said that dad being viewing the mountain views from his bedroom window.
He is going to mum's at half one until half 5 today, and with it only being up the road from mum helps a great deal.
They do actually review after a month, the care home will give their opinions and let us know how things are going and if we have any issues we can raise anytime as well.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Long time no see Pinknico, hope you and your lovely family are well.;)
Well some lovely news today, my sister who is 2 years younger than me, (she had breast cancer when she was 32) is pregnant.......:T, she already had one before she had the BC and her and her hubby was told the chances of having any more children would be slim.
They have not ruled out twins yet.:j
LOL, the list of grand children for mum and dad is certainly a big one, too many to count now and that's without the great grand children, there must be over 30 odd over all alone without the these.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
