Do you remember me posting earlier in the year that my son had his wallet sniped in a night club?

Well this afternoon he received a call from BlockBusters the film hiring store, they told him that a guy rang them to ask to track my son down, as my son is a member of Blockbuster and the guy rang them as an easiest method.
So the one from Blockbuster gave the details of the gent who rang, and the number was a road haulage company based in Newport, the guy explained he did not find a wallet but a few cards - mainly membership, snooker, tennis and Blockbuster, no mention of anything else, but still its something.

So where the nightclub was in Newport these were found together (which seems odd without the wallet) about 5 miles away outside a pub-where my son never goes.

    Hi Showergirl.
Yes the nightclub was in the town where he went on Boxing night, and the pub where these were found is that of about 5-6 miles away, so it just goes to show that his wallet was purposely swiped from him, apparentely the police did say there were a few others on the same night who also had their's nicked, they said these pick pockets are very clever people......, scary isn't it?
Oh and these items were found last night.

    Yes definately.

I am glad he managed to ring me as soon as he noticed though, because I cancelled on his bank cards, we had to re-order a new driving licence, he said when he rang me it was that of only 5 mins before that he had his wallet, so with me cancelling everything for him it would not have given anyone a chance for them to use them.;)
We must act quick these days....

I remember how mad my son was, he said this ruined his night and the remaining of the night he was just looking for his wallet by trying to retrace his steps.

It's the upset this causes that is most distressing I know the state my daughter was in the other week when someone had cloned her card. Luckily the bank sorted it straight away, but she was in a right state on the phone
