I need my sleep. Does your uncle come then most days now? That is so brilliant for you all. Its good to have a teacher in the family. My sons girlfriend is taking a degree now for a qualification in teaching/child care although she is working in a nursery full time. She loves it but always wanted to work with special needs kids. She may change though when she finishes this one. Do you still have to do lessons for him Di? Don't know how you cope with it all. You deserve a medal for that alone.:T
I think its just I have adapted to it now to be honest, because even when I was living at home my autistic brother was running around most nights, I can still remember when mum was running around after 8 of us, when dad worked away as well.......
Mind you there are times that I could just sleep, I will nod off now and again in the day.
My uncle have been fab, normally 3-4 times a week, not so much last week though because of the weather.;)
Wow well done to your son's girlfriend as well, a rewarding job there.:T:T
Mostly with me its just reading and checking his work over, he has some homeworking discs as well now, doing good.
Thanks Marshallka, your amazing too and remember that.
A Fab counsellor within you.:T:T:beer:XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi everyone
Have just spent some time catching up.
Sorry to hear that your husbands job has been put back again Di. He must be really disappointed getting told one thing then another.
I have been trying to keep my daughters spirits up lately, as you know she is at university training to be an occupational therapist, the university told her that there may not be a job for her at the end of it due to cut backs. she was offered the chance to stay on at uni for another year to train to be a physio but now it seems that due to cutbacks (again) this course will not take place. She has spoken to her careers officer this week and they have told her that she may have to take a job as an OT assistant and work her way up from there, which she doesn't mind as it will still be what she wants to do. She has worked so hard for the last three years and I was so upset for her. It annoys me when the kids want to work and then get treated like this, I know your son is in the same position Marshallka, where he wants to work and train for a career and keeps getting knocked back.
Hopefully they will get some good news soon0 -

Hi Showergirl.
Hope your well hun.;)
Thank you, yes its yet another sort of knockback really, and it was a job he really wanted, so it looks like we will have to reverse the roles for the time being.
So sorry to hear this news with your daughter hun, all the hard work that have gone in as well, I know its a start with the OT assistant side of things but when you think of the effort she have already made, and it all costs as well.
keeping my fingers crossed for her hunni XXXX:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

So it looks like you may have to go to work, we will miss you on here. Hopefully you will find something part time and that you will be able to fit it around your family commitments.
My daughter is feeling a lot better now and hopefully she will get there in the end.0 -

I used to work for the NHS, caring for the mentally and physically handicapped, my sister works in the offices and told me she will keep her eyes open for me, she did say she heard they may require some night staff soon, so fingers crossed.
I will miss being with Daniel, but with it maybe working nights, I doubt if I will sleep that much anyway in the day, so have best of both worlds.
Hubby not too keen on the idea but its gone on too long now.
Glad your daughter is okay now hun, with a lovely mum like you as well to help and support her through and through as well helps.
She will do very well, where she have done already.:T:TXXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Its been snowing since about 8:30am this morning, main routes okay though as they were already being used regular before it all started, sticking mainly on pavements and grass, although I think the rain will come in and wash it all away either later or tomorrow.;)

Your hubby will come round in the end.
My hubby hates it when I work extra hours and say's I will wear myself out. Luckily this does not happen very often.
It must be very hard on your hubby building his hopes up and keep having them knocked down0
