Saying that I remember it being a lot worse years ago and everyone seemed to have managed and get through, I even remember the schools staying open.

    Hey Di. ;)

Apparently, the forecast has said no more snow for the week and a drop of rain tonight but it's not as if the weather forecast has ever been wrong before...

Thanks re the signature yes it amuses me too.x
I would also let my kids go there even if it meant not being with them just for a better life and more experience. Glad your daughter is looking outward. I hate this country half the time and then again at others I am grateful for what I have here. My sons friends went backpacking and they have not come back. They rent a large apartment between them and they have a shared pool and a wonderful life they say. Just wish I had done it when I was young enough. My dads sister lives there and went when i was 18 months old so not really got close to her or close enough to go out to her. I would love it though. Just have to hope one day I get there but my border collie has stopped us moving house in this country that many times:eek: as he is settled here and the neighbours are understanding of him. In fact it was said at one time that I loved him more than my family. He is my family though and so many houses we have looked at were fine for us but not for him.... :o. He is 10 this year and could go on another 5 or 6 years so just have to stay put.
