My hubby's work is 13 miles away and in a country. He always got there though even without the 4 x 4. I bet he would have struggled though this year.sharpdeath wrote: »:rotfl::rotfl:
I wished I had my rally car back, it would have earned it's money the past week!
That's the trouble living so far away. I live in the country, my work is in a rural area and the 22 mile journey is a rural one as well. Not a hope in hell recently in getting there. I might just make a sled and get my dogs to tow me!

Its not got mod cons though Di and is old and bog basic but it does the job. I wanted it again for the dogs. It was heaven this year with my borders vets trips especially after he had his sedations/ops. He was able to sleep in his basket in the back.Definately worth it.:T
That's what my inlaws have as they have a farm and my inlaws.
Saves a lot of money compared to petrol.;)0 -

I think a lot of people have been struggling this year! Not a very good start for businesses coming out of recession.
I should have started a new business making cheap snow ploughs.

They are certainly the best 4x4's on the road though and will also have a good name.;)
Yes very handy for the dogs as well.:T:TXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

We have had to spend on it this year as the cambelt went first and then a new clutch. My hubby spent a day over christmas holidays as well searching the scrap yards with his brother for bits and pieces. If he got a brand new BM or sporty type car i would still prefer the old landrover. Its practical for us.They are certainly the best 4x4's on the road though and will also have a good name.;)

Can I make a tiny suggestion and you can tell me to mind my business but just as a pure thought, how about a plank of wood in the back so your dog can walk down instead of jump as it will save the jarring on the joints when he lands? :cool:All the time you're watching your back, you can never look forward...0 -

We have to carry him in and out sometimes lol. He is a hyperactive (and really hyperactive not just saying it) border collie so he exhausts himself and its only when he stops he actually knows he has overdone it. We will have to use a ramp though if his joints do get bad. For now though he is a 10 year old pup and could outrun any puppy. He forgets his age. I also have a very laid back 13 this year old lhasa apso who sleeps most of time and you can hold like a baby. He is exhausted if he gets out of his basket and ventures onto the settee.sharpdeath wrote: »Can I make a tiny suggestion and you can tell me to mind my business but just as a pure thought, how about a plank of wood in the back so your dog can walk down instead of jump as it will save the jarring on the joints when he lands?
