Yes it does doesn't it?
They are taking on in 3 batches, apparently this steelworks who belong to Corus let too many go before, even though many were due for retirement anyway.
He only applied and sent CV online 3 days ago and they rang him yesterday to go for interview this morning.
Am praying this is the one now.;).

Yeah exactly my point, he is fed up of waiting to hear from them, they went into administration in Dec 2007, and it was then bought by the Russians in about July 2008, they are very slow.
The place was literally falling down though, its huge, I know they have now completed all the roofs, and they supposed to have new furnaces but are awaiting more new machinary.
They now come under Mir Steel.

Can he not train for something else? Go back to college perhaps? I know how hard it is cause my son is in the same position but with a family to feed I think you have more incentive really. I know my hubby would be going mad not working for that length of time. My son has now got in touch with our MP about not being allowed to go on the new thing whereby you are guaranteed a job offer within a certain time as he broke his hand and had a week on sick instead of dole so they counted his claim from then on and also he went to work for 13 weeks for an extra £15 on top of his dole and apparently this then classes as a new claim as he had a break. His girlfriends dad has written to our MP and also my son himself as its so wrong. He NEEDS to work. I do know how hard it is Di.0 -

No he have been applying for all sorts, as my post says above, lots have closed down for lots he applied for, there have been a few for a day here and there.
Whatever comes up first he is going for, its unbelieveable how many he have applied for and even with agencies, also even 40 miles or so afield.
Most of them are "you are on a list and we will keep your details on file".....
A bad year.......
But now this is probably the furthest he has been with hopeful news.
He has also been under a "new deal" scheme with the jobcentre.
Hope the MP helps your son Marshallka, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Our MP had better help my son on this as its over 12 months for him now and she has not responded for a few weeks now. They have said cause he did the work for 13 weeks he does not qualify as this starts a new claim. We have complained its a cover up for statistics of the government.0 -

Yes your right Marshallka, he does actually have an appointment next Thursday in aid of this I think.
Hope you have a good MP, your son bless him is trying so hard.
That system in regards of the 13 weeks is not fair is it, I don't blame you for complaining on this. Fingers crossed. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
In an attempt to keep the fast moving PPI Reclaiming discussion thread on topic, here is a very special non PPI discussion thread for you all to chat away.
My loan has just completed, running for 60 months, I borrowed £6500.00 with 13.9APR. At the start of the loan a sum of £1600 was added to the amount I requested (£6500.00)this was for the loan protection. The total amount paid into my bank account was £8100.00 and then a deduction of £1600 was made from my account and noted as Loan protectiion. The amount of monthly repayments (relating to the insurance)are £36.50 x 60 which equates to £2188.00.The loan agreement states that the amount of the premium is £1600.00 plus charge for credit,£588.00 and total amount payable under the agreement is £2188.00. The total cost of borrowing £6500.00 over 60 months is £11079.00. The bank are offering £2188.00 plus 8%, £430. Although I'm grateful to have £2188 + interest returned I'm just a tad confused as to why the £1600 is not subject to a refund and just the monthly payments x 60. Would be grateful for advice?0
