Sal... Sa.. Sala... Nope, can't bring myself to say it. I think you need an emergency trip to the butchers! All the time you're watching your back, you can never look forward...0 -
Hi there. Please bear with me as I have just joined and still finding my bearings. I was wondering if somebody could please give me some advice on the PPI malarky? I'm not too familiar with it all.
I took out a bank loan with HSBC. It was over 5 years ( just finished paying it off in July 2009 ) The amount was for £9000. After interest and insurance, my total payments worked out at just over £18000. I was wondering if I perhaps have a 'case' to try and get some of the insurance money back?
Many thanks for any advice given0 -
I must be honest I love bacon but cannot face it at the moment. In fact not too hungry at all cause of this damn cold. My ears keep popping and its blummin painful. I just fancy cold puddings really.
(Bacon and brown sauce butties are my favourite though normally)0 -

Basically, you write to the firm that sold you the insurance with whatever reasons you have for the misselling and then give them 8 weeks for a full and final response.
Send all correspondence recorded delivery though so you have a proof. And ask away if you need any more help.;)0 -
That was most helpful. Marshallka. Thank you. I will most definitely check out the link and hopefully get some cash back. I have been reading about it and hearing the odd snippet, but didn't think it applied to me as I got the loan from a bank. I naively thought it just involved 'Finance Companies'. Know what I mean. Thanks again. I will most definitely come back to this site :T0

Damn it I have been dying to tell you all...........
Hubby waiting for a start date, he attended a meeting today for the steelworks and should hear the date by next week..........:j:j.
He have been messed about terrible the last year, kept on list, had interviews then businesses have suddenly changed their minds and closed down......I know its been unfortunate for this to happen but a very bad year overall last year.
The steelworks he worked for before rang him in the week as well to ask if he is still interested.........and of course he is, but said they have not been given a proper date to start production, as a new company had bought this from when it went into administration.
This is another steelworks in the same district though, so that is cool.
They require 30, its temp for 3 months and it goes from there.
Please wish us luck, I could not hold back telling you any longer, simply because he have been let down a lot over the last year with false hopes.
Thank you.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
