Not an ideal way to start your day Di!!!:eek:How big is the Koi?
I can remember as a girl waking up and looking at my gerbils well gerbil, 1 was in the process of eating the other.... when I put my hand in to retrieve the dead one the blooming gerbil bit me.
Thats put everybody off eating sorry.

I know it was shocking, as they are kept in an average size tank, the koi is only approx 4-5inches, and yet we had no problems before with them.

OMG what a shocking experience for you, that is even worse.......

    Good morning everyone,

    Hope all are well.

Had a bit of a shocker this morning and it almost made me ill.........._pale_, looking into the fish tank - I thought I was seeing things, the weather loach was hanging out of the Koi's mouth........, I was actually on the phone the same time talking to mum and dropped the phone.

We have had them for a long time now and I have never actually experienced seeing this before, Daniel my youngest is not happy as they are his fish.......:o.

Hubby came rushing down the stairs and had to take the fish out of the Koi's mouth and I kept out of the way, it was an horrible thing to see first thing in the morning, it put me off my breakfast, and now hubby is taking the mic out of me, by saying "fish and chips for dinner"
What a sight, our fish keep having babies and whilst trying to rescue them its horrible to see the fish eating them.... in fact i want rid of the fish tank cause its certainly not relaxing to me...

Good Morning Marshallka, how are you this fine day? The sun is shining here, which is nice even though it a bit Baltic. Need to get a pair of long johns on like Paul.

Love the comment about powercut or internet down..you are both a blessing especially for those looking for advice..and for your company.;)

I think you do too much I know you couldnt relax when you were waiting on news about your sister, how is she doing? As my daughter would say Chillax.........much easier said than done.

My daughter was in tears yesterday she's not the emotional type even allowed me to hug her so I definately know she's not well. I got a gargling antiseptic mouthwash and lozenges but no effect, her face looks like she's taken on Mike Tyson and she can't move her neck because her glands are so swollen.

Good news though my husband sorted out our washing machine it was leaking, he took out the filter and a pound dropped out and no leaks now...fingers crossed do not want to get a washing machine for Christmas.:p
LOL....We all become kids again when we are ill don't we...my sis is just waiting now to go back on Friday and then in again in January for another procedure but all well so far. She is glad to be home. I am expecting my pj's etc back a little later so she said but just want her to relax cause of the BP thing. My daughter is doing fine. She went physio again yesterday and they have told her to come back in another two weeks. She has to stop doing one of the exercises that they gave her as it makes her so sore (but I told her to carry on or it will not get better:o) ...

Glad your washer is going to be OK for christmas. Its about the only day of the year when ours is not on.;)

    x

Also got a call yesterday evening (automated) from the hospital that my daughter is attending next week about bloods etc. I was just about to put it down as I thought it was a PPI reclaim call and it was to confirm that we will be attending. Never known of that before. Mind you its not our Hospital, its one we are travelling to.
  • Hi everyone

    Hope you are all well.

    I have been so busy.
I have been helping collect food and bedding for our local cat & dog shelter. I hate to think of those poor animals being lonely at xmas. I would love to go in and see them but can't as I know I would end up bringing a few dogs home with me. I would love to give them a home but it would be unfair due to my work.
The girls at the shelter are really nice, but I only go so far as the reception and I always end up having a few tears when I leave.

It is really cold and wet and I am going to have a coffee to warm myself up.

Marshallka I love helping out when I can. Your daughter is special taking the dogs for a walk.:A I couldn't do it I would end up putting them in the car and bringing them home. I hate all those stories after xmas when pets have been abandoned. People should think before they buy pets for xmas or any other time of year.
