How is daughter getting on Marshallka? I'm anaemic too (hence the bran cake recipe) taking iron tabs and folic acid cant say I feel any better but maybe too soon to say.. My sis has the B12 deficiency she has just found out but she was starting with this 4 years ago and they left her (large red cells). She has now all of a sudden lost 2 stone and they did her bloods and whatever it was they left her with has now gotton worse so she is back under a hematologist. TBH its worrying this one is. I know she says she feels fab losing all that weight without trying and in so little time but I think that when things like this happen its a warning something is not right. She is loving it though....
so again just me being a worrier.
My daughter is fine really and certainly does not look anemic at all. She does get tired though and gets really bad migraines at times but otherwise she is doing great. I don't know how she copes on the iron though. Its not bothering her at all yet but we have got your ingredients now;) and she has bran with everything to combat the side effects:eek:. She has always been a good eater so cannot understand it being low.
Got to wait until 22nd for hospital appointment and take it from there. Our docs are doing more bloods in a couple of months (once iron has taken effect) and then see if it was actually this that was causing her anemia. Its been a long time she has had strange symptoms but we will get to the bottom of it hopefully.
Thanks for asking and thanks for comment on my wonderful hubby.0 -
I hope they get to the bottom of it and your sister too I understand your concerns.
Mine is "woman troubles" said in a Les Dawson way. I actually went to Docs with weird rash obviously looked on website and my diagnosis was hives, but it left bruising so Doc wanted to check out coagulation fortunately the nurse doing bloods said lets test for everything, only thing wrong I'm anemic, have to say did think of all sort of things however I'll keep taking the tabs and see if things improve.0 -

So yours is low cause of bleeding really and not so much the diet thing. Maybe that will be it with my daughter too hopefully and she may need to get some down her for a while then (although she was 3 when she first had her petechia:eek:). Hope you go on OK. All these things us women go through ey:rolleyes:.0 -

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well.
Still no word from the hospital, starting to get worried now.
It will have been 2 weeks on Monday since I was there, thought I would have heard something by now.0 -
Hello showergirl, sorry this is dragging on for you, and can only hope that you get your results VERY soon. Thinking of you. NicoxDS1 12/10/04
