Morning Di beginning to wonder where you were.........
You sound on good form.
Do you have to travel far to visit your Dad?
Our "local" hospital is 20mins away but they are trying to close it down which means we have to travel about an hour to the designated hospital no direct buses or trains, really not good for people without their own transport. Bah hunbug!0 -

Hi hun.
Yes feeling so happy again today, all these wins with everyone, its fab.......:j:j:j.
Actually where dad is - is about 10-15 minute drive away so not far really.
The main hospital he was in before was a little further out but not that far, just a more of an hectic road to get to that one.
OMG, sorry to hear that, so sad when they do this, that's right not everyone has transport, and are even too weak to get on trains and buses, this isn't fair is it?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Just realised typed bah HUNbug........I've just read Martins MSE news about curbing christmas pressies, it could have been written by me..if I could put my thoughts out there as clearly.. I love his idea of releasing someone from the burden of having to buy someone else a gift. Its wonderful to give but we do feel we have to reciprocate and that can be stressful monetary wise and time wise.
Sorry rambling now
Anyway to perk things back up, yesterday it was very cold here very festive some snow on high ground and I saw some beautiful baby deer in the hills. AAHHHhh:rudolf:

Hey ramble away hunni......this is the thread for it, so go for it.....
Yes very cold indeed, and I hear some parts have had high ground snow, I don't want it though lol, boring me. XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di,
How are you huni? Have you had any update for your wee daddy?
I’m so happy to be back to my 2nd home and on familiar territory again in this friendly civil forum.. I’ve been prowling around in the land of the unknown in other forums on the site this morning. (It was a scary experience for wee Gerry). :eek:
Its all my own fault though I got into a intense discussion about football and antics of the supporters . Don’t know what possessed me, the crazy thing is I was the fool that started the thread (Is a football match the place for a political demonstration?). I didn’t have a clue what I was talking about when they started posting footie related comments, just had to bluff my way through them. I think the OP’s probably thought I was a big 6 ft bloke and a football fanatic. (Not a tiny wee Scottish lass, that’s lucky to reach 5ft if I’m wearing heals, with oxygen tubes up her nose and has only been to one football game in her life and that was only because I had an invite to a new years party after the match in the corporate suites at the club). :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I’ve also had a mad online shopping spree, spending money using MSE promotional codes and special offers getting a wee bargain or two. You guys will need to keep me on a short leash over here, don’t be letting me go prowling again. I cant be trusted on my own, cant stop myself from getting up to mischief and being naughty. Ha Ha.

Showergirl, just noticed your other post on the FSCS thread. I am glad you are keeping busy and should not be too long for results. I just pray that they come back good.
I had a smear done on the 25th November and just had the normal results through the post today. I was gobsmacked as it only just a week. I was told it would be 6 weeks. Seems like things have changed since I last went.
As regards my daughter she is fine. She is not having any side effects whatsoever from the iron tabs. I think we just worry sometimes (or at least I do:o too much over things). In fact i have had my own bloods done on Monday and all results are fine for me (except whites and platelets which have been ongoing for years and still around to tell the tale lol and they are a little less than this time last year so nothing is getting worse) so its just my sis and daughter with the anemia (although up to yet different types we think, one being iron, one being b12). My sis is also fine and loves the weight loss so much. Again, I think its just me that needs medicating..... with a strong sedative. I worry too much I guess. In fact i feel embarrassed next time I go to the docs for anything. I have to learn to trust in them more.I hate being like this, I really do.

Glad things are going well for you at the moment as for worrying about your daughter it what us mothers do.
Trying to keep busy so don't think about results.
Have done all my housework and had a walk to the shops, got some spare time so thought I would come on here to get updated.
I am really pleased that you are all winning with your claims you have all waited a long time for them.
It may help take the strain out of xmas.
I have nearly finished my shopping ( gone over the top with my daughter ) but I still get that thrill when I see her open her presents, even though she is nearly 22.
