Sorry things did not work out with your mum and sister but glad you had a good rest.
Que se ra . We tried but I don't think I ever fitted in really. Its a shame but so much past and history and I wanted to try to get some things sorted but some things are perhaps better left unsaid. I could not believe that between the first bombings and 3 days later they had cancelled and booked for crete. I said all the way to the hotel that she would be there waiting to see us and my hubby could see I was banking on it too much. Even my daughter thought the same. I was looking everywhere on the first day as I could not believe they would have the money let alone anything else to do what they did. We left two days after the second bombings so it was kind of scary.

It can happen anywhere though showergirl. We had a powercut when we were there for a few hours at night and must admit we all thought the bombers:eek:. The kids loved it shining their torches up and down (lazers:eek:). All in all we had a good break but it was just upsetting with what happened with my mum. Still not spoken again yet. They got back same day as us.

Your right there Marshallka it can happen anywhere even on our own doorstep. But we can't live our lives thinking about it or we would not get on.
We are going to Turkey in a few weeks so really looking forward to that.

Hope things work out with you and your mum. I had a bad time with my mum it didn't matter what I did it was never right for her but my brother could do no wrong in her eye's. My dad would try to stick up for me but this would just cause argument's between my mum and dad.
I suppose that is why my brother and I don't get on even though both our parents are gone now

    It's sad really

My mum and sister were at slight odds when we booked and my mum actually cried when we did book :confused:but things changed as soon as my sister heard the news. She likes to keep mum to herself. Its so hard cause she they only live round the corner and my sis and her son live with her. My mum worries about falling out with her cause in case they leave her on her own and she says she would not cope and most probably would not but sometimes I think my sis takes advantage good style. (sibling rivalary at its best)

Families ey!!!! Mum is in her 70's and I want to help but she shuns me away all the time. I think its time to just give up. I only moved here too to be near her. We could have lived somewhere a lot cheaper and kept our heads above water better but I really wanted to be near to help. My sis was living in Cyprus then and when she got home everything changed. We were then surplus to requirements.:o

Mum was in her 70's when my dad died.
I did everthing for her shopping, cooking meals and taking her out as well as doing a full time job.
My brother did nothing and when I asked her why she never rang him for help I was told that he was too busy.
I think she realised in the end what a selfish so and so he was.

My sis does look after my mum but she also has a roof over her head and can come and go as she pleases at the same time and have everything she wants and her son too. I am not allowed near them. I feel quite bitter now and I know I should not and life is too short but I do.

Anyway I had better shut up and get some work done here as my ironing is over flowing.... I got all the washing done yesterday and my hubby is still at home til monday.

We had a nice time and I was not allowed to log on to the computer under orders from my daughter. I was tempted though but it was our time and if I had done it then we all would have been taking up residence in the internet cafes. Yes I have a nice tan.. Just needed the break though to clear our heads.

Brilliant, glad you had a nice time and come back with a nice tan...:T.

Yeah I would be tempted as well "internet".

I agree a good break does the world of good.;)XXX
