Is there a story that popularised them, they are up another 5% today

Market seems somewhat tired after the run up, the US earnings picture has been a little more mixed of late, though on the whole they are still beating the headline EPS figure, however as investors expect this given the much lowered targets it does little to spur the market on.
Whilst we could simply pause here for a few days and consolidate before moving higher it would be much healthier for the market look if we had a retest of the breakout point first. If that were to occur it should correspond to about 4500, I think, on the FTSE. Not much sign of that this morning howeverHope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

Yea I was watching a fairly good assessment yesterday, lower volume into nyse close allows a higher price and until the volume returns in autumn its probably going to stay quite similar to now
Not really trusting any share looking too V shaped at the moment unless I really think they dodged the more major negatives and could be worth holding anyway
Looks like ptec has failed to break out from 350 for now
Barclays reports next Monday which will be interesting to see how they polished their lehmans lamp and got all their wishes come true

Dividends are taxed at 20% and its taken regardless of where you hold it or how much income tax you pay. I think higher rate payers have to declare it in order to pay another 20% so for them an isa is good0 -
Barclays will no doubt do well, given any US bank with a trading desk that didn't have big problems before has had a good quarter.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!
