US futures now testing the Feb swing low, which equates to about the 1044 level on the cash index, a break there should see 1019 tested this week on the cash.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

July 13th same as last year, results season wont justify the selling most likelysabretoothtigger wrote: »I got mixed feelings, in one way nobody wants their assets to be worth less but also its an opportunity to get some cheaper priced returns as we enter earnings and dividend season.
I really dont think we'll reach new lows now so I dont have a doomsday theory and we might come back soon enough from 4000 or whatever is the magic number this month
I wish selftrade would hurry up and transfer my short etf so I can actually close it out if the market should spike down.
The more ftse falls gradually like this the more spring loaded the market becomes for a proper market reversal upwards0 -

That was my thinking but we'll have to bounce before then, if we continue falling at this rate,otherwise we'll hit ZERO
Didnt think we'd go below 4800 but s'pose '09 lows a possibility,all this DEBT wont go away quickly0 -
Bought some RDSB for long term ISA, bought some DGW yesterday on the NYSE for long term outside ISA, looking aroud for anything else that looks attractive
As of last night
BP = pe 6.68, yield 7.71 div cover 1.94
Shell = pe 7.84 yield 6.55 div cover 1.95'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Thanks for that StevieJ, iii give slightly different fundamental figures.

am not sure how often they are updated. Given the overhang on BP I think Shell presents a better buying opportunity. I think maybe BP have underestimated the degree to which US politicians will nurture populist anger, and then grandstand to it. It's hard to tell what longer term damage that could cause financially for BP.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

Mine are off TD Waterhouse, updated daily, that 4.31 yield on BP looks odd on iii.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
