Correction brigade out banging their gums again as Bloomberg wheels out the bears one more time, so I guess that means it's probably more upside from here. Another boring day of grinding sideways action to start off this holiday shortened week. This market needs a good dose of fear to shake some folks out of the tree. Thought we might have sen a little profit taking ahead of the holiday.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

So who made on ASM and DES today? I just couldn't get a trade through in the 40s with DES and so concentrated on ASM picking up big chunks around 8.75 and 8.9 early on. Watched them go to 11p before that auction knocked them - that surprised me, I thought i'd get 13p area after auction but sellers loaded up the book in the auction process. Still i had the chance to get shut around 10.3p area so a very decent day trade profit in the ISA as well. A great trading day for many today from what I've read on various traders threads.0

As mentioned I am out of my NG position and the downside look like continuing but there may be a posssible upside (not sure itson the horizon yet) if this Bloomberg article pans out.
Edit: I think the article is from late last year but was updated in March.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Reading some of the forums it appears a lot of investors have been caught trying to catch the NGAS falling knife...0

Its probably worth looking at the commitment of traders (COT) reports if you are interested in commodities. The one for natural gas futures is here - http://www.cftc.gov/dea/futures/nat_gas_lf.htm
I think you particularly want to look at the "managed money" section as this represents what the professional fund managers are doing, although I'm sure there is a lot more information you can get from the reports if you know what to look for.0 -
Anyone interested in GRT?Fund manager suspended shares down 30%
Could be an over reaction0 -
Its a fairly new company listing so probably going to take a while to recover I would guess but if its suspended then more action to come when it starts trading then I guess0

Its coming up summer now so it might take until autumn till the danger of this absolute loss declines, they did almost run out of space last autumn and the price reflected that before recovering just before this latest dip
People often think too narrowly on energy. The assumption is that more energy is needed in winter than in summer for heating. This is not unreasonable but what is becoming increasingly demanding is the need for energy to provide cooling in emerging hot climates and with the general threat of global warming. There is a vast amount of effort now being put into methods of deflecting the suns heat to reduce what is expected to be an increasing energy demandAwaiting a new sig0 -

IMHO people are thinking, generally, far too much about energy, which, IMHO, is largely passe now as a long term investment, as all the sheep are there already. Yet again, unsurprisingly, most people are completely out of touch with the real issues for the future, one of which is fresh water supply. Get ahead of the game early, or you will undoubtedly lose out! There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0
