UK Stockmarket 2009 and beyond

Would echo the MXP rise since the fall to 11p (loverly jubberly), also my two coal stocks doing very well today (CZA +8.5% and WTN +12.8%), although I think its been a pretty positive day for most stocks.

Edit: Hey, I've just noticed that todays rise in WTN means its now a five 'bagger' for me, lets hope the year continues in this vane (although I do doubt it). Biggest Q for me is whether they will extend QE.

Oil and Gas to be the sector for 2010 IMO.

well I have to keep the grey cells working so sold AZN and placed a limit buy back and also bought more BG with a limit sell price on the extra shares

I have stacks of oil and energy and that is why the portfolio is going vertical

Another fantastic day for GKP and AEX.

IMO oil and gas is a good hedge against a double dip, as they are largely news driven. These companies will keep on drilling even if the FTSE starts dropping.

Lots of musings on the BB's (certainly on iii) around the possibility that the rise may be due to more than Borky.

Farmout for A&E deeps??? That could be juicy.
If it's news on Astra it's not such a biggie for the near term IMHO. Granted it means a lot long term but we're nowhere near using Astra.

MXP down about 6/7% (atm), it is/can be quite a volatile SP (intraday) and appears to be following market sentiment atm.

Ok, so I need help.......... I've always believed a big part of investing / trading is psychology or psychological and now I find myself in that psychological turmoil of when to get back in.

I am approx 50% cash atm and even though I recognise the situation / mindset I am struggling for my logical side to override it. What has made it worse is that I was in the verge of increasing positions during the December low but decided not to and now....... I'm kicking myself and cannot get over the 'hump'.

Ah, just ignore me I'm just feeling sorry for myself
