Thank you Steve vour help. Just a bit confused (I'm a newbie here) but how much would 18866 charge me for calling the 0844 566 number?? I assume Telestunt would bill 18866 so no charges there.
p.s, add on note: I understand the 14p a minute if I used 18866 to cal Pakistan however, my original post was about, if I used 18866 to call Telestunt on their 0844 566 number at 5p/pm, how much it would cost me.
Solid
No no, you can't use 18866 to call the 0844 Telestunt number. I don't think 18866 will route calls to 0844 numbers. They will route to numbers starting 01 02 0845 0870 and to the international 00 prefix. They will also route to numbers starting 070 in the UK. The 070 range is called 'personal numbering', you need not be too concerned about these types of numbers for the moment as there are not too many in existence.
I can see your point in trying to route 0844 via 18866, thereby possibly getting to call Pakistan for 1p untimed, then having 18866 foot the bill. It's a nice thought and clever of you to think of it. But it will not work.0 -
thnx Steve.
however, if not 18866, there must be some other company out there to route your calls to Telestunt's 0844 number for 1p/pm?????
anyone????0 -
Well I think not. I reckon 5p perminute is the best that can be achieved to an 0844 number at the moment.0

"arrgghhh I just type a long response and lost it" so hopefully I can do it all again.
on t-Mobile to call 0844 it is charged at 10p a minute. But on O2 they are inclusive. On three they are "offically" not inclusive but "unofficallly" are inclusive. But the rate you should be charge on three is 10p a minute.
If you call India / Pakistan a lot the best way to do it is with an o2 leisure tariff. since there are some good cashback deals which make it nearly free. So you get 2000 minutes per month for the first three months to call those places, and than the rest of the year 1000 minutes per month. At no extra cost (or small cost.) I actually had a site about these call through services http://www.callthrough.tk/ but it has not been updated for some "long" time cause of recent changes in Post Office, moving to a new house and network inrevention, my time has just been slipping by. Hopefully will update it during the long Xmas break.
Anyway hope this help

Mark, the charge by 3 could be as high as 15p per minute, dependent on whether you were in a "Video" area (10p) or a "Voice & Pic" (15p) area.
Apparently, you are in a "Voice & Pic" area when the '3' disappears from your phones display!0
