Best Foundation Hunt, Value For Money And Durability!!

I think the trick is to make sure the foundation is as close to your natural skin tone as you can get, there is nothing worse than someone who is pale skinned trying to give themselves a bit of colour and using a too dark foundation. If you have an even skin tone, lucky you, then just use a tinted moisturiser for a light cover. As you get older I think you shouldn't wear a matte finish as it lies in all the creases, maybe a little powder on the nose if you tend to be oily. I suffer with a few thread veins to my cheeks so need a bit of extra coverage, I have tried and wasted money on loads but my absolute favourite by a mile is No7 Radiant glow, does what it says on the tin, gives you that dewy look that the stars favour and everyone comments that I look well when I know if they'd seen me pre-made up they wouldn't! It lasts the distance with no cake effect at all, costs about £12, i tend to buy when I have £5 off voucher or look out for it on ebay.0

I love my Clinique, bit pricey at £17 for 30 ml, but it lasts me about 2 months with everyday use, which makes it about £9 per month...
I would love to find something just as nice for a little cheaper, however, i always struggle to find the right shade for my skin, unless I go to the cosmetics counter and have them find the right shade for me...
p.s. a beauty board would be a great idea!** i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay **0 -
I would like to begin wearing a little foundation coverage as I'm recently getting some adult acne (pre-menopausal, I suspect), but my biggest problem, apart from hating the feel of the stuff on my face, is that I have fair skin with pink Celtic undertones and most of the foundations these days are made for the American market, which means they are yellow-based.
Now I know that the yellow-base is supposed to look more 'natural', but I find it turns either chalky, if too pale, or a horrid orangey colour on my skin.
The makeup consultants always take one look at my dark eyes and hair and insist that one of their shades will be the right one. Wrong! They are usually quite surprised to find that none of their shades are correct. Even Prescriptives couldn't get it.
I'm fed up with wasting money and with searching for what seems to be the holy grail of skin cover......everyone says it's there somewhere, but nobody knows where.
Any suggestions from here?0 -

I can`t afford Estee Lauder or Clinique but i`m impressed with Barbara Daly range of Make Up from Tesco, £6.50 i think it is, lovely and moisterising and lasts nearly all day on my face.

This itme of year I can't abide wearing foundation - just too claggy when it gets warmer!!!
I use the new Clinique self tan/bronzer or L'Oreal Sublime Bronze(Used Boots £5.00 off voucher). So I can get colour instantly and it also gives a slight self tan.
I might give that Estee Lauder one a go - esp as they have a brow bar in Selfridges and I could do with a tidy!!Noli nothis permittere te terere

Ive recently gone from using Benefit Playstick to Almay Line Smoothing Makeup and I dont regret it! It stays on pretty much all day and ive found it to be the most natural looking colour ive ever put on my face and wish id bought a couple of bottles, as it had 300 extra points from boots about a month ago. It was 9.99 though!
