  • I totally agree with earlier post re: a Health & Beauty Forum - it qualifies for money saving as it would stop us from shelling out on products that don't work if we could ask another before we buy - I shudder to think of the cash I've wasted on trying to find the right foundation - so who do we lobby to get a new forum listed

any recommendations for a foundation for a combi skin with large pores that belongs to a just-turned 40 yr old (:-() who hates the made-up look & has a problem in that most foundations make my skin crawl & can't wait to get home to wash it off

Unfortunately the buying and selling on the Forums are a no go due to this rule. However, i have sold a number of my unwanted cosmetics through this site.

I Love Estee lauder double wear - lasts a whole day and into the evening. Abit pricey at £21, but have used it since I was 18 and haven`t found anything that is nearly half as good.

Im going to try the Estee Lauder DoubleWear, im going to see if i can get a sample as i have seen you can purchase them really cheap on Ebay and save even more.

Go to your local estee lauder counter and they will match one up for you and give you a sample to try before you buy a bottle.

I get mine re-done each season, as I keep having to change shades throughout the year .. ie. in the summer, a darker shade.

Does anybody know if the estee lauder double wear is any good for very dry skin I do get break outs on my face but my main concern is the dry skin because foundation just seems to clog?

I think it depends on how dry your skin is. My cheeks tends to be a little on the dry side but before i put on my Double Wear, i always moisturise them. It acts as a great base for the foundation and it sits on my face better.

I have just swapped to Maybelline - Rewind foundation...fantastic....I used to use Boots but found them a little wishy washy and watery...

This one seems to last and last.....(spent 4 hours asleep in the car on a europe trip and it didnt budge!!!)

Tried loads before this one and never really was happy.....also use Virgin Vie makeup now....great stuff.....

Another vote for Estee Lauder; I also use the Disappear concealer and can't praise it enough.

With regards to the foundation you couldn't wear - take it back! The sa at my local Boots told me they always accept make up back if it doesn't do what you bought it to do or if you have a reaction to it.
