  • I think I meed to give matched betting a rest for a day or two. I just laid a bet twice by mistake and had to search around frantically for somewhere to back the second bet. Then I made a bet that didn't qualify for the free bet as it wasn't evens or above.

My head is mashed with it all.

  • Aren't they just the worst? And they have a new rule where you can't withdraw less than £30 over the counter. They look at you patronisingly and say 'you could withdraw it at the cash machine.' Well, not if it's £9.50 you're after. Are all the banks forgetting who the money belongs to?!

I had two mystery shops there recently and slagged them to the ground botht times. :jConsumer revenge right enough. I love mystery shopping for that very reason. I love it when the staff are rude/incompetent/
generally rubbish then I get to tell on them. :p

  • Thanks for the warning. We've had a good dump of snow last night so I'll be very surprised if we make it to the end of our track, never mind all the way over there. I'm going to try though. *suddenly remembers I haven't paid to renew RAC membership.Oh dear...*

Anyway, a payment to Abbey CC has gone through (this isn't the 0% one that I previously thought. They're charging 16%) and I've paid £50 off my overdraft. So my debt has reduced significantly today. Yippee! :jI'm not far from being under 9k now and that would be a really exciting way to start the new year. Wonder where I can find £53.04?

  • I'm feeling good about the abbey payments. As soon as the mega-interest card is paid off, every penny will go to the abbey so I can close those accounts with that horrible bank.

The bad news about the snow is that I have a session with a client about 20 miles away today, and he is due me £110. He always pays cash and this would come in very handy but I really don't think I'm going to make it. One of our cats just went outside in the snow. He's a brave boy as it's up past his belly. I don't know whether to try and go out or not.

My list has been seriously reduced. I now only have to:
    • transfer some more cash
    • wash the car
    • get laundry and housework up to date
    • try to make it to my client's house and my dad's to finish work/pick up cash/deliver pressies

  • Quick reminder to myself to phone abbey re. a charge they aded when the dodgy payments went through. These payments have been refunded but the charge hasn't. It's £12 better in my pocket than theirs.
