I don't understand scratch cards either. I have some money in Gala bingo somewhere but I can't work out how to play! :rotfl::rotfl:
Just remembered I have an Easter egg somewhere.0 -
Evening - went for a little run (only 3k, just to test out my ankle) and it seems to be holding up. Will try 5k on Saturday or Sunday, building up gradually to 10k again over the next couple of weeks. Taking it very slowly because last week when I ran, I seriously thought I wouldn't be able to do the races I've signed up for. So I'm very pleased with the lack of pain tonight.
I am not very pleased that I seem to have somehow left my Nike+ sensor on, and the battery is almost flat after about 4 uses...
As they are £12 a time, I will be more careful in future!!
Bunny :grouphug: hope you can come up next week, it will be lovely to see you and give you a big hug (but was eating something when I read about the horn _pale_). As you know, I have been on the receiving end of the Facebook disappearing friend thing several times, and it really hurts when it's someone you care about, so have yet another (((((hug)))))."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Here's one to cheer you up - fainted running home today (luckily was stopped at lights) due to low blood sugar - gave tourists a fright and had to buy HUGE doughnut on the way home as it was the only food available - was getting some funny looks walking down the road in my running gear practically inhaling a doughnut
oh gawd becky!! hope you're alright... i was worried about you running after drinking the other day, but here ye go fainting after not eating!!!
be more careful hun!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Well, we've finally fixed the internet. It turned out it wasn't working because I hadn't used the installation disc.:wall: (No 'hit forehead with palm' smilie so that was the closest I could find).
Hillsborough was before my time, I wasn't born until the August of that year, so all I really know is what I've picked up from family. Which is basically that my dad doesn't like Scousers because he thinks they always completely blame the police for what happened when he reckons it was 6 of 1 and 1/2 a dozen of the other. Like I said, before my time so I couldn't say if he's right or not. It seems a bit daft of him though, not liking a whole region of people for one thing.
I remember Diana though, it was the day after my 8th birthday and my mum came upstairs and said, "Di's dead." I remember watching the funeral on telly as well. Strangely enough, my grandad was going through some old videos the other day and found it on tape. I remember buying the Elton John single afterwards and playing all 3 songs over and over. I drove my parents mad with it. (They were The Way You Look Tonight, Candle in the Wind and You Can Make History Young Again, in case anyone was wondering)
And I remember Sept 11th really clearly, I was in History class when the IT teacher came in and started whispering to our History teacher. I caught the words 'Twin Towers' and 'all over the news'. Then I got home and watched Sky News for an hour. I've never watched a news channel for that long before or since.
Wow, that all seems so long ago now. I was just a kid back then, I'm turning 20 this year. God, I feel old all of a sudden. *cue hysterical laugher from the rest of the thread*

Becky, sorry about you fainting....I did wonder if it was okay to be giggling at you with your giant donut when actually you could have really hurt yourself.
Glad you're okay!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
