Haven't posted on this thread for a few days but the smartie tube is filling up nicely - total now £25.60 :j (only £5.60 in the tube, obviously :p - £20 sitting in the savings account, and earning a teeny tiny amount of interest, so its ready for when I want that treat!! :T).

I'm back up to £1 after having to raid my 20p stash last week!

I'm going to save them for a day out as we're now probably not going on holiday this year (we were going on a camping holiday next month, but I'm starting a new job and can't take any time off for a while due to training), so I would like to go on a few day trips while the weather is good.

  • Please, please can I join too.......

I find it difficult to save £2.00 coins but 20p's should be much easier. If only they don't go on children's dinner money..... oh hum!

Anyway have 1 already - well it is a start. Have decided to save until the middle of the summer holidays and use on a day out, might just buy 3 ice creams.....

Back when we didn't have a washing machine, I used to save 20p coins for the launderette and was always amazed at how quickly they built up! I have just raided my purse and found £1 in there, going to raid the OH pockets when he comes in too:rotfl: !!!!
