Think I might just join in on this one. Seems more manageable than the £2s!

I wonder if some kind peeps would tell me what you are using to save your 20ps in to save me trawling thru the whole thread (lot of reading there!).

The Smartie tube seems popular from what I have seen.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but is the bank now charging for cashing in loose change or am I just being daft, lol! :o

Hi youngmum! Welcome to the club... you can save 20p's in whatever receptacle you like, smartie tubes are quite popular, but personally I have a tin with a lid that I save my 20p and £2 coins in. I would have used my piggybank, but I can't find it!

I have had three 20p's today, but mainly because I've been naughty and gone into my overdraft as I had to get a new bus pass and couldn't resist checking out the Matalan sale... managed to get two pairs of jeans and a top for £24 which I'm pleased with. The overdraft will be paid off on Monday, but I'm NOT allowed to do it again!

Decided to revive my savings of 20p yesterday. Raided my purse last night and found 4 of 'em in there. :T

I was trying not to count, but the urge to empty the smarties tube got too much yesterday! But it cheered me up as I have over £5 in there! :j

I'll try not to count it again until it gets full, but I promise nothing!

2 more for me today, so pretty happy with that!:D

Welcome to Cathchat and Youngmum :hello: - you'll be amazed how quickly and painlessly these little coins build up!

I collect mine in a Smarties tube (they really do fit quite nicely!) - although I am very MSE about it and have now emptied my tube three times and am filling the same one for the fourth time. Of course, I like to pretend that it is my MSE qualities that lead to this miserly-type activity... secretly it is because I am not that fond of smarties (I forced myself to eat the tube to make it empty, but am more of a Cadbury's Buttons girl, and those 20ps just don't stack up the same way in a Buttons packet!!!:rotfl:).
