20p savers club

Had a really good day so far as coin savings go - 4 x £2 (although I then gave one to the big issue man) and a whopping 12 x 20p's.

I've taken £10 worth of them out of the tube, and put them straight into a cash bag, ready for banking when I get a weekday in town. Darned bank isn't open at all on saturdays, so I always miss out.

Got another one today, so thought I would boost this post back onto page 1 (where it should rightfully be!;) ). It completely filled my Smartie tube (for the 2nd time!:T ) so I bagged up £10 and will take it to the bank tomorrow - where the first £10 is still sitting happily in my savings account. That has cleared plenty of space in the tube to carry on saving (does it make me a super MSEr by re-using the same Smarties tube more than once, or just really tight?!!:o :rotfl: ).

Still not sure what to spend this money on. Daft really, but every time I come up with something, it doesn't seem "worthy" of all the effort put into collecting them, or "special" enough... No doubt I'll see something eventually though, and then at least the money will be there ready and waiting for me to spend without feeling guilty - yippee!!:j

I added mine up and they came to £16, so have put £10 in a bag to take to the bank next time I go. I think I've got some 20ps at my mum's house as well and am going there for a bit today, so maybe they'll take me up to £20. Here's hoping!

I did have £12.20, but I've taken £12 out to put towards a pair of new work shoes as I'm starting a new job at the beginning of July. Will try and replace some of the 20p's once I've been paid...
