NRP - csa1 to csa2

£50pw is actually £216.67pm (£50x52/12) so you are around £150pm worse off.
I have no idea how you can get the PWC to change.
There you go OP - £20 a month saved already.
It has been suggested to me (the PWC) that I go on benefits as according to an ex-CSA employee, the CSA will actually use the draconian powers they've been given and investigate my ex's tax returns as he is definitely abusing his position of director of his own company and failing to declare dividend income.
There is a very real possibility that I could negotiate redundancy with my employers but it's not even a consideration.
While I am able to work then I shall continue to do so.

this should all be about your children, not about making sure the pwc doesnt get thier grubby little hands on your money!!
Well i DO NOT WANT to quit my job, but i am being forced into doing so. I've worked hard since leaving school and have never been out of work before. However, when the system is so corrupt that your constantly fighting a losing battle then you have to make decisions. I have had enough - its time for me to play the system.
I could have gone the benefits route right from the start and "became invisible" to the CSA, never to be tracked down and i wouldn't have paid a penny like a some of the blokes who i have heard about. But no, i done the right thing and it got me nowhere.
THIS IS ABOUT MY CHILDREN i have supported them for all of their lives, i have never missed a payment for them or have i not had them for the two nights a week to stay over. I have to make a 60 mile round journey every time i see them, thats 8 times a week and 480 miles. This doesn't get taken into account because i have a company car, by the way, which i am taxed like mad on.
To be perfectly honest you Tasmin, i don't want my grubby little ex to get any more of my money than i should LEGALLY be paying. I'm fed up of contributing to her mortgage for her four bedroom detatached house and for her multiple holidays abroad each year with her partner. When i can't even afford to pay my rent each month. She knows how much i would be paying on the new system and she is worried that the drop in money would no longer pay for her spa days each month.
One last thing, i won't be bored at home, i'll be visiting the doctors quite often to plead that i have a bad back and see if i can claim DLA or some other benefit which i might be entitled to as well. Then the rest of the time i will be working cash in hand for a few hours a day saving up for my many holidays abroad on the tax payers expense.
Tasmin, do you have to be so rude in your posts?0 -

Presumably your children also benefit from living in a four bedroomed detached house (I know mine would love to live in one as I have to limit the number of friends they have sleeping over due to the small sizes of our bedrooms) and I assume they go on holidays with her too? I also assume that she does actually buy clothes, feed, heat and generally look after the children so your money does go towards that too.
If however you feel that your ex does not spend one penny of any money on her children then I suggest you go to social services as she is committing child abuse. Further, in that position I know I'd be taking her to court to get care of those children if I were the NRP.
I know it is unfair that there hasn't been a properly staged handover from CSA1 to CSA2 - people like you and I would probably wonder why from xx date all CSA1 is reduced by 20% and then 6 months later another 20% until they reach CSA2 levels - yes, it would take a couple of years but on the other hand the PWC would be prepared for it. However, for whatever reason the powers that be did not decide that and so you still are legally paying what is required.
Be careful with the bad back story though - remember that football referree in the bbc news a few months back - ended up having to pay back all of his sickness benefits as it was deemed someone with a bad back could not be a football referree? All it takes is for someone to 'whistleblow' that you are faking your illness and you could get investigated. Would there be anyone in your circle of family, friends and aquaintances who might hold a grudge against you?

I just want to ask how much change you think your ex gets out of £370 per month after feeding, clothing, and all the usual costs that kids incur ie shampoo, loo rolls, washing powder, petrol to take the kids to and fro, activities like football and brownies etc.. I really dont know which planet you go to to do your shopping but please can you let me know so I can go and shop and pay my bills there!!!0

You may find that the CSA rule that you have deliberately made yourself unemployed in order to avoid paying them and therefore your current liabilty will remain and you will find yourself in a hell of a worse situation than you are at the moment - be extremely careful with what you decide.Well i DO NOT WANT to quit my job, but i am being forced into doing so. life is what u make it, glass half full or glass half empty - you decide that just like choosing to try for a baby or having unprotected sex!
I don't know. Do you?0 -

Good on you for supporting your children. Be proud of what you have done thus far.
Whatever you decide to do from now, is entirely up to you.
As I said above, just ignore the people on here who wish to chastise you.
Good luck in whatever decision that you come to0 -

Try stress brought on by your personal circumstances instead of the bad back scenario
Please remember that any future employer may ask about your medical history.0 -

You may not though.
As kelloggs36 says...think it through very carefully before you do anything.0 -
