Grrrrrrrrrrr :mad::mad::mad:
Left note for DH this morning to remind him to put bin out this morning, to leave the shed key at home and to check if my house keys were left in the car. Bin wasn't put out and shed key not left. He has one job to do and he can't remember to do that. He won't put it out the night before as we have a neighbour who hourds rubbish and then puts it in our bin so the bin men will take it away! So I can't get to the freezer in the shed as I have no key to unlock and therefore I got nothing out for tea tonight. Sometimes I wonder why I married the man, and I know where our boys get it from as well!
Right rant over. At work 2day till 5 then off till Monday :j:T:j. Nothing OS happening today.
Hugs to all
ByeBanana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0 -
Morning OS friends!
Nic1 - I roasted my ham hock as we are not soup eaters - boiled it for about two hours and roasted it for another 40 while the roast potatoes were cooking. It was delicious! The ones from Morrisons are smaller so would need less cooking.
Sunnyday - *chuckles*. Well, two pkts of seeds is a very small spend so well done you! With me it would have been tubs to plant the seeds in and some plant food and and and.....
csarina - the water board coulodn't find our stop !!!! either but they dropped our standing order because it was their responsibility to find it and they couldn't, so we saved money anyway. We were paying £750 a year but it has dropped down to £550 because we cannot have a meter fitted.
Beth - how fantastic to find that ammonite. A magical moment I would think.
PenPin - we are not sick of hearing about your health please do not think that.
Mummy2Jack - welcome back to the fold *hugs*
Halight - Where are you? Really worrying about you now..
Sunny Girl - Thinking of you and your family
Woke up feeling so upset about my mothers letter last week. It just overwhelmed me and I cried til my head hurt. Anyway, I know people go through worse things and I know my nephews will be happy, I just miss them so much.
Anyway, I am now left with a headache, but have had a long glass of water and given myself a stern talking to and am back in control again now! After my spending spree the end of last week I have lots of lovely parcels to look forward to so that is always fun!
We ate from the store cupboards and freezer last night - had the rest of the spanish omelette for lunch as there wasn't reallyenough left for a main meal. We ended up having baked pots with a pkt of 'Pasta and sauce' and a tin of tuna mixed in. We bought lots of those pasta and sauce pkts when they were on special offer because they make a nice change for lunch or part of dinner.
Tonight will be along the same lines, but I am hoping to make a fish pie, we have everything in the freezer for it including prawns and some smoked fish.
Ok, well I better get on and sort myself out, the OT is coming today for a review so I need to put some makeup on so I don't scare the horses.
Warm gentlefor all. Do something nice for yourself today.

Great idea floss - thanks for that.
Well, been out and got 3 samples of borders - when I came back there was a flyer through door from local estate agents re a house hunter wanting a house in this area. So that has prompted a call and they are coming to do a valuation next Tues. Anyone with any hints before estate agents come? I'll also look on house moving board - and Peyton, thanks for your links re moving.
Blimey I'm excited. Not about this being THE buyer (but that would be nice thank you) but about the whole move as I've had a few worries on my mind and this is a positive thing.
ooh I think this calls for a cup of tea and a sit down to make a list:):)

Afternoon all
Sorry you were confused Lesley, my lodger is a barmy chocolate labrador, much less trouble than the human sort.
Well I .ay be knocking on a bit, but at least when I locked my self out this morning, I was able to climb my 6ft gate & get back in again, I only went out to the wheelie bin but the wind snatched the door out of my grasp & it slammed shut. Fortunately my french doors were open & I was able to get back in. The lodger was mightily confused, she was still stood looking at the front door & was very surprised when she heard a noise in the back garden & rushed out to protect the garden to find me stood there.
I managed to pay 2 cheques in today, tried yesterday & there were 15 people in the queue in front of me, so I walked out. Went in today & the place was empty.
Hugs Hester

Afternoon all. Home from work and having 5 mins with a coffee. Chicken curry for tea (in the oven as we speak) with rice and naan. Wm on, might get it hung out for an hour or so as the afternoon is dry, if not particularly bright!
PenPin sorry to hear you are feeling so ill, I hope your health starts to improve quickly.

I could cry! I tried a new recipe in my slow cooker, prepared everything this morning, set the timer and then forgot to turn it on at the wall! My OH just called to tell me now. So not only do I not have dinner but it's going to all have to be binned to boot.0
