Thanks everyone! I REALLY do appreciate all your concern and cuddles....I think I need them atm:D
...do you remember my sister's looser BF...well everything we predicted happened and that has been difficult to deal with over the past few weeks...he has tried to take her for thousands and is now screwing with her head. We are visiting her at the weekend as Im more worried about the kids but if the ex BF turns up whilst we are there, I think OH will go mental.
Whilst we are there my parents want me to sign paperwork with regards to their Wills etc....they have been updated....I really have enough on my plate atm and dont need this. I have tried to explain but I dont think they understand. I really dont care how much money I have when they die and they can give it to charity for all I care-it really is the last thing I am thinking about currently as my health has deteriated (sp) quite alot and I am using my energy to focus on getting through each day atm.
Sorry, I dont mean to be so depressing.

Morning peeps
woke up bright and early this morning but am disappointed with the weather, i`ve just brought my tomato and pepper plants back inside as it`s so cold and i`m scared of losing them, they are so tiny atm - hope i`m not too late.
I cooked brisket with onions in guinness overnight in the sc so this morning the house smelt gorgeous, i`ve sliced it all up and blended the liquid and onions for gravy and discovered that i can`t fit any of it in the freezer
looks like this weeks meal planner will be changing drastically, tonight meal is mash with sausage & onion pie with carrots and cabbage and broccolli, the cabbage and broccolli are from the garden and are really tasty.
Looks like i shall be plate pie making so maybe steak & ale pie tomorow at least.
The dw has been emptied the kitchen scrubbed (now full of plants) and the houndlets are walked and snoring happilly so i shall get out the ironing board and make some of the mountain disappear before a quick shower then w*rk.
Nic1Lou2 - I shall pm you shortly
Halight - Where are you? hope that you are ok.
Wmf - I am sending cuddles for your little doggie.
Taplady - I hope that your throat is better soon, i hate sore throats but find that a good spoon of honey, lemon juice and malt vinegar eases it. It dosen`t taste too great because of the vinegar but my Dad used to make it really thickly when i was little and it coats the throat and really helps.
Sunny Girl - Thinking of you and your family, hope that your Dad gets home soon.
Off to sort out the ironing so i shall catch up later.
Have a good day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Penny Pincher - so sorry you are having a bad time. I hope all works out for you this weekend. Can anyone else explain to your parents? It is so hard to be 'heard' sometimes. Lots of hugs.
I am sitting here, listening to little bear play happily in his room while waiting for Mr S. I feel I can't start anything or do anything while I am waiting. I put LB in his room to be safe while I was getting the delivery - by the time it gets here LB will be napping.
It is so grey and cold today.
Well, I am going to tear myself away from this chronivore and go and get some knitting done.

Morning everyone not been on for a couple of days due to pc problems so havent caught up with everything going on.Hubby has been on hols as well as kids so its been a marathon round of days out etc here and we've had a great time.Best of all the weather has been kind as well and thankfully this morning the rain that fell during the night has stopped and we have another beautiful day to look forward to.I havent been up to anything much OS so please excuse my post as it really is just a catch up with friends post
PP-Sorry to hear that things have gone downhill for you.As for your parents do you not think they are trying to get everything straight in their head as they feel the time has come to make plans for after they have gone?I know you dont feel like it at the moment but like most things with parents when we become adults ourselves we have to grin and bear their fussing. So good luck with today and hope that you have the energy to get through it without too much distress
Hardup Hester-I must be totally thick because I genuinely thought you had a human lodger and for the life in me I couldnt understand why you insisted on walking him/her:rotfl:Now I realise that the lodger is a dog and all becomes clear:rotfl:
MSD-Hope everything is fine and dandy with you and yours and hope that you have had some news of Tristan to put your mind at ease

(((Penny Pincher)))
Sounds like everything is happening at once and would be hard enough to cope with even if your health was perfect. Take care of yourself first pet.
DD(20) has gone off to stay with friends in Chester overnight so will see her tomorrow.
DD(15) is about to go see friends a few miles away so will come back at tea time.
DD(23) is at work and DH won't be back till later this afternoon so looks like a quiet and peaceful day.
Turkey leg is in the slow cooker and waiting for washing machine to finish so I can put the washing out on the line.
Rightmove is still showing the wrong price for our house and it should be in the local press this Friday - Grh!
Might do curry for tonight and use up some of the peppers in the fridge - or else do stuffed tortillas with it.
DH still coughing and talking in a whisper as he keeps losing his voice.
The bargain electric shaver arrived at 5.30 p.m. last night and needs to be on a charge so he can't play with it yet!!!;)
Hugs to everyone and see you later"This site is addictive!"

Going out in a bit to order the bedroom carpet, at last. Every time we decide to go do it something else gets in the way.
Mum baked a Victoria sponge yesterday, spread with apricot jam and butter icing, ooo it was lovely, not good for the waist-line though
Went to Iceland yesterday and bought some 1/2 baked baguettes HUGE ones, 2 in a pack BOGOFF 2pks for £1, so we froze 2 and ate 2 with skinless sausages 75p from Morrisons ooo they were lovely.
Soup for lunch as its cold, Dinner will be anybodys guess, probably whatever is in the fridge.

....... Need to get into loft while I am still in this clearing frame of mind as I tend to get overwhelmed dealing with the stuff up there (a lot belonged to my parents, who died 13 years ago. It's already all been moved into this house and not touched but sentimental ties are strong. I really don't want to move it again, especially as we are aiming for a minimalist move and also moving back to Scotland - haven't lived there since they died, so all kinds of emotions just may surface.).......
Good luck with this, you may find that time has made things a little easier than you have previously experienced. I found that leaving my mum's things in the pretty storage box and not "exploring" (poking about!) helped it to be less tearful and easier to manage when I did open the lid.
Why not take photos and put them into virtual albums, writing descriptions with your memories for each item? Then you have the photos (and these can be on a DVD so they don't get mislaid) and your notes to keep, rather than the actual physical (space-taking) things?0 -
Afternoon all!
Hugs to all in need, not caught up at all lately as hols seem to have taken over, and work and lack of sleep! Same as everyone really!
OS stuff today will involve stardrops and the entire kitchen, which looks awful at the moment, and a good old scrub of the kids bathroom, which has had a clothes explosion all over it! So no doubt a lot of washing will be happening, blowy day here so can all go on the line I hope. Need to do some cooking and freezing as well, so really ought to get on with things!
Have a good day all, and normal service should hopefully resume next week! xx
Oh, and quick update on illnesses and hospitals: baby nephew is fine and thriving now, friend's babe had a virus not meningitis, but is still having a few breathing probs, nothing too serious though, just related to the residue of the virus, and I get my final results from the consultant on Monday, finger's crossed! xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
