Can you receive the Hong Kong channel TVB with this combination? Or is that an encrypted channel even if you can?

    Thanx

TVB is encrypted and broadcast on a different satellite (Atlantic 12.5 west as opposed to the Freesat and Sky channels broadcast on Astra satellite at 28.5 east)

You would need a 1 metre dish aimed at 12.5 west

    Incorrect.
There are numerous European channels that show both English and Scottish Premiere League and Cup games Free To Air and without subscriptions or cards being required.
Just for an example go to this web site and click on the toolbar that is marked UK/Ireland and see for yourself
    http://liveonsat.com/daily.php
The cup games are mainly shown on DSF/3 Sat in Germany, very little Premier League Football is shown in the clear as to protect Sky/Setanta's bids in this country. Feeds do occur FTA from time to time but frankly saying that there are numerous channels that show FTA Premier League football is not true.

If loads of football was being shown in the clear FTA would you think that people would still pay Sky/Setanta in droves? On LJs site there are only in the main frequencies to encrypted channels that show the Premier League, it's mainly a reference tool. I feel that you are getting people's hopes up with this talk of FTA Premier League football that simply isn't there week in week out.

Is it possible to get Sky Pay Once Watch Forever and ask them to upgrade to the Quad LNB and then stick in a separate receiver to get all the other channels, or is it the dish that limits the channels?

    Thanx

In theory yes depends what you bribe the installer with and quald LNB's are only a tenner more at most. However the system will still only point at the Astra cluster of satellites so you won't be able to see anything other than whats on these. The size of the dish can affect what you get but agian if it's a Sky installed system it weill get everything OK from the Astra cluster. you'r looking at a motorised systems and the sky pay once offer won't cover it it only covers a fixed install.
