Yes, continue to ignore. This is NCP in PPC mode, and not acting on behalf of the council. It definitely doesn't mention the council anywhere, does it?
Just file away and get on with your life. But be prepared for a few more letters - they will get ever-more scary, with bold, coloured or LARGE type; but fear not, I've never yet seen reports of an NCP court case.0 -
ok you kind people told me to ignore and ignore I did! but today I have received my first letter from NCP in regards to non payment of PCCN charge. do I continue to ignore or pay up? also letter went to old address so if it wasnt for redirected post I wouldnt have got this letter????? although d.v.l.a have updated details! please advise further shall I continue to file them away?

The only time you would "pay up" is when told to do so by a Judge in a County Court. Everything else is just empty threats.... do I continue to ignore or pay up? ...
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
Hi just spotted this thread. Left my car at All Saints St car park in bolton after having too many drinks and got a £100 fine (reduced to £50 for quick payment - thanks a lot!). This seems totally unreasonable, maybe £20, but not £50. So my question is could I just ignore it and get away with it? Thanks.0

Just continue to ignore and they will eventually go away.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

Thanks for replying. Just one question - how do I know that this is a private car park and not a council one? I see you have posted on a lot of these threads, so I guess you are knowledgable on such things, but I just want to be sure. cheers.0

Haha! Yes, do you have any tips for that headache?
Last time I got a ticket it was for £30, now it's an inflation-busting £50. If it was still £30 I'd have just paid it, but I object to being ripped off so now don't feel like paying anything.0 -
is this a penalty charge notice or a parking charge notice? Thanks for replying. Just one question - how do I know that this is a private car park and not a council one?
