But seriously, I save more than you do and I only go in one store per day usually (sometimes 2 different stores if I need more food to feed the starving kiddies in my house).
I don't split my shopping and I don't go back in for a second transaction. I just collect every different coupon I possibly can and prioritise using the commonest ones (like the cheese one from the Tesco mag, and the printables). I keep back the rarer mocs to use only if I need to - if the shopping hasn't gone down to a low enough total for my liking! I also get my shopping down to pence, usually from around £30 at the moment.
I feel sorry for the cashiers who are letting you split your shopping into 4 or 5 batches on the conveyor (if I read your post right?). They'll get into trouble one day about this - and so will you in the end.
Similiar to Coupon Mad. Although it does take alot of time to organise and actually go shopping every day etc.
So if you spend 8 hours a week sorting and printng and researching coupons... and 1 hour shopping each day = 7 hours.
Essentially its a part time job in terms of effort 16 hours... which pays quite well :P. Altho its all dependant on SAs and tesco current policy etc.0 -
I do hope the one who splits shops into 5+ transactions isnt at my store, because someone will take offence at some point and that is a little abusing the policy etc. If you split shops into so much... you would hold up the queue for 20-30 minutes... which brings attention to yourself.0

I only go in early in the morning, when there aren't many people around. I never go in during the rush period.0

Good morning all! Returning from one of my Mr T trips yesterday I drove through Astley, near Manchester and passed an old four wheel drive and there was one of those green sticky visor things in the window, written across it was "Mad Muppett"
. Was this our "Mad" I wondered? Does he live in my area? I could feel little goose bumbs on my arms! :j Drove back home with a big cheesy smile on my face, mother just thought I had enjoyable day out with her!
Please tell me this was you "Mad"0 -

In reply to this:If you are "tight assed" should look great in jeans!!
I sadly don't have a small bottom. The reason i said tj hughes and not new look or something is because i'm short, and i know tj hughes have short legged trousers. Yes, how i do wish i was 5ft 5 (thats tall to me) and a size 80 -
I am wondering why you feel the need to come on and confess?
The word confess seems to imply that you think what you are doing is wrong?
Also to properly confess, shouldn't you reveal your true identity?
I think the only reason more people haven't said much to you is that they assume it is a regular just messing about.NotMyRealUsername wrote: »I only go in early in the morning, when there aren't many people around. NotMyRealUsername wrote: »Im going to make a confession (sort of). My Tesco is very coupon friendly. In the last few months I have used about two thousand pounds of coupons and this is not a wind up. In one particular week I have used about two hundred and fifty pounds worth. I just pay pennies for my shopping. I split my shopping into fifteen, twenty or more transactions and end up paying pennies. I do a few trips, doing about four or five transactions in each turn. The whole shopping trip takes about two hours. Today I paid two pounds seventy for over eighty five pounds of shopping. Most of my coupons are sourced from the internet, though I occasionally buy off ebay.insanity is the best policy:EasterBun0

Excuse me, I was just passing on a message from a friend who shops there, how can that be irresponsible or are you referring to MSE folk generally.0
