£2 Finish coupon accepted at my local around 4pm today, although mine need to be inputted, they don't just scan unnoticed.

If anyone has sucessfully had them scanned rather than inputted i wouldn't mind knowing at what size you printed them off at?

I don't have to worry aboiut wasting free ink!

My goodness shakes coupons also always need inputting, despite printing them off at the standard size

I don't want to get too many that need inputting it's just more hassle for my cashiers, and one of my coupon happy people sometimes forgets his glasses so asks me to use the goodness shakes next time due to the small print

Anyone know any good ghost stories?:eek::eek:

I don't, but when I was little, my mum used to sit me on my potty and tell me ghost stories. She said it was cheaper than laxatives

Vicar in the pulpit says "hands up any man who has made love to a ghost"
A country yokel puts his hand up.
Vicar says "and when did you make love to this ghost" ?
Yokel says " Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you said a Goat "

I've printed in several sizes (accidentally cos I couldn't remember the size I'd used in the first place!) - from about 4" long to 6"long. Even on the little ones, the barcode is very clear and all have scanned well.

OK folks, you may need to sit down for this one..........
for anyone who is newish to this thread, they may not be aware of a fair amount of disagreement Quentin normally has with a number of the rest of us, and has been well documented for anyone who wants to go back to the previous threads for the details....

He believes (and Birmingham Dave will be along to back him up in a second:p) that anyone is justified in "ripping Tesco off" (my words, not his!;)) with any old coupon as long as it scans, whether Tesco can get their money back or not....However,I, and I believe most of the folk on here, wish Tesco to be able to redeem all their coupons,as they have proven in many stores, if they suspect abuse they will stop their generous coupon policy, of which most people on here take advantage.
Quentin, believes they are fair game for this, as they are the real abusers, in that they are abusing the manufacturer, by claiming the money from them, without ensuring that the product was sold.
( Q...I am not trying to twist anything....if there is anything in the above that you think I have misquoted or got inaccurate, please PM me, and I'll amend it...I'm trying to keep this amicable and put BOTH points across fairly:A)

I have to say that I agree with Quentin:eek:, in principal, about the selling of coupons on ebay!

Unfortunately, there have been a number of fake coupons that have been sold recently, and also some that were never meant to be printed (tantamount to photocopying) and they have caused a number of stores to review their coupon policy.

But if the coupons are genuine ones, that we all print off by the cartridge load, I see no problem with more of these legitimate coupons being in circulation.
Good luck to anyone, who manages to sell them, without us pointing out that buyers can get them for free, and without getting into copyright problems...but that's another issue..;))

    Well said!!!!!

hi swannee_ d, have they manually inputted the barcode?? or will your store not allow this. failing this, make sure the cashier has totalled your bill, and ask to try again. this shouls work, if its been stopped, the cashier should be able to say so, usually they have a message to say so on their screen, my cashier showed me when fairy had been stopped. hth
keep up the boycott folks......every little helps.

my local tesco, like many now, is getting very coupon-fussy...... their new policy is that a team leader has to double check all cashier's coupon acceptance, the cashier has to call them over whenever one comes through, its so time-consuming.

....Same happened to me this week on my second [ever] couponing visit to Mr T's. But staff concerned were v polite and I heard the supervisor say that all mine were OK as long as they were 'one of each'.
Haven't tried the controversial - but much appreciated :cheesy: - £2 Finish coupon yet though.

...And welcome back Veggiecar....sorry to hear about the lappy theft :(

*BEWARE - UPDATE 25APRIL* ...thanks very much to LDM for the following feedback to my original post :-)
I emailed these guys about this about a year ago, they replied back saying they are unable to send out the coupons, and that this offer to sign up to them is no longer valid. (so basically, they take your details and don't send you anything) They should just stop you from being able to enter any details ....

Yep, Finish appear to have removed the downloadable [postal] version of their competition entry form.

However, I found a newsletter "Home Solutions News" on the News and Offers section of the Finish site

    wwwDOTfinishDOTcoDOTuk

    .. which offers the following:
    • Save up to £12 a year with money off coupons from the makers of brand products like Finish, Calgon, Air Wick from Haze, and Veet.
    • Receive free samples for newly introduced products.
    • Enter for a chance to win great prizes in future prize draws as soon as they are announced.
    • Get time saving tips and helpful home advice to make taking care of life at home easier.
    • and more!
suscription request needs to be verified from your chosen email address
[sorry, can't do clicky link 'cos I'm a newbie ;-)]
