I did the same thing today! Popped in Sainsburys on the way to T's, on my weekly moc-hunt. Sometimes they are NSS when they are giving mocs out...but usually they say 'Sainsburys only' in the small print. So you have to be very alert not to use some unacceptable ones in your haste to try them at T.

Today they had some pink anti-perspirant with 70p off - great I thought and made a bee-line for the said items on the shelf where the girl had helpfully left a nice wedge of them. You usually get more mocs off the shelf where the items are sold, than you would from a manned (or womanned) stall. An unmanned stall is the best bet of course!

But...sadly mine also said 'Sainsburys only' which I spotted straight away so I popped them all back for the Sainsbugs shoppers to use this time. Never mind, I have done well in my local Sainsbugs in the past with NSS mocs every so often...
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Next time it happens, ask the cashier to total the till and try to scan again. I find this is usually the problem when coupons won't scan.

Did you buy the item as it is a Tesco coupon so doesn't work without the correct purchase. This glitch was fixed within 2 days.

From what I can gather from all the posts on here it has now been blocked at all Tesco Stores unless you buy the product.

Buying them from an entrepeneur will suit some people, just as others come here and find them themselves for free!

In fact they are selling the coupons, not the pdf.

Tesco will be seeing far more coupons from owners of the pdf on MSE than they will from bidders for the printed coupons on ebay!

And you don't make any comment on it actually being Tesco doing the defrauding (not the bidders)!
OK folks, you may need to sit down for this one..........
for anyone who is newish to this thread, they may not be aware of a fair amount of disagreement Quentin normally has with a number of the rest of us, and has been well documented for anyone who wants to go back to the previous threads for the details....

He believes (and Birmingham Dave apparently won't be along to back him up ) that anyone is justified in "ripping Tesco off" (my words, not his!;)) with any old coupon as long as it scans, whether Tesco can get their money back or not....However,I, and I believe most of the folk on here, wish Tesco to be able to redeem all their coupons,as they have proven in many stores, if they suspect abuse they will stop their generous coupon policy, of which most people on here take advantage.
Quentin, believes they are fair game for this, as they are the real abusers, in that they are abusing the manufacturer, by claiming the money from them, without ensuring that the product was sold.
( Q...I am not trying to twist anything....if there is anything in the above that you think I have misquoted or got inaccurate, please PM me, and I'll amend it...I'm trying to keep this amicable and put BOTH points across fairly:A)

I have to say that I agree with Quentin:eek:, in principal, about the selling of coupons on ebay!

Unfortunately, there have been a number of fake coupons that have been sold recently, and also some that were never meant to be printed (tantamount to photocopying) and they have caused a number of stores to review their coupon policy.

But if the coupons are genuine ones, that we all print off by the cartridge load, I see no problem with more of these legitimate coupons being in circulation.
Good luck to anyone, who manages to sell them, without us pointing out that buyers can get them for free, and without getting into copyright problems...but that's another issue..;))

edit:- No I don't sell any, I'd rather swap or give them away......anybody like some Garnier Herbashine? 100% genuine, I've got too many.....going free...just PM

    Thank you swood.
The reason people like the vouchers, is not to get a cheap paper, it's because many stores accept them as cash for money off your other groceries, without buying the paper.
Or, if you DO buy the paper, you can use TWO coupons.
