got a reply asking for my address from the kingsmill bread site also offering to send me a voucher. Well done to the original poster

Thanks to the OP for mentioning this, but can I suggest that we don't all email them at once!

There was a similar post before about emailing a food web address and then they stopped sending out coupons as they had been inundated and realised their link must have been posted on a forum...

Some of us should make a note to maybe email them in a month or two, that's what I will do if I remember!

And perhaps now is a good time for everyone to email other food firms of your choice anyway. Choose your own favourite product firms and look on their website for the 'contact us' link. Spring is usually a great time for new marketing campaigns and it's a new tax year so many firms may have a nice new marketing budget to spend...;)

    Hi everyone,

Just had a quick visit to tesco at aprox 4pm it seems the 55p times newspaper coupon no longer seems to be scanning

Looks like this regular might now be a buy the product only moc?

I used a new cashier but she did a great job, even inputted 2 numbers for me too, so i think it's a coupon problem as opposed to fussy till lady problem! Typical as i just received 2 new sets in the mail!

    Can anyone confirm?

Are you ready for this peeps....not good I'm afraid....went to collect my cartridges from very large Extra store that has Direct desk....have only been there 3 times in the past as it is a 20 mile round trip and therefore only go when it is a Mystery Shop and want to shop in the town it's on the edge of.....took along more coupons from Sun and Daily Mail that I bought at newsagent en route...and was armed with about £10 of mocs some internet some manufacturers...thought I'd spend around £30 as hubby had seen £9 deal offer for curry and beer advertised in the Sun and Lloyd Grossman pasta sauces were on offer as was pasta, so thought would stock up ...handed over coupons and was told they could only take them from now on if purchased product...each time I've been before have been absolutely no probs at all...was gutted...I queried it and asked him if he could double check for me...he did...and supervisor said it was new rule because of coupon abuse...some peeps using 3 x £2 Finish coupon on self scan in same transaction was quoted as one abuse, photocopies another and personalised coupons with wrong name on them and people visiting 2/3 times a day and spending £1 against £10 shop....so manager said no more from now on unless purchased item.....I must have looked crestfallen, 'cos I explained I'd come quite a way to collect my cartridges....and thought using a few would cover my diesel...she took handful off me , added them up and knocked £8.50 off my shopping...handed her 2 x £2 Finish ones has had bought the dishwasher cleaner..she said would do it this time as I did not know the policy had changed but wouldn't be able to do it again.... and there was me feeling so good at my experience earlier today.....b*****
She then said manager thought it would be national policy soon like Asda...

Yes, I had a problem with it yesterday on the self scan. It came up with 'Approval needed' whereas it has gone through no probs before. Fortunately the SA's are fine at my Mr T's and they just authorised it to go through.

Don't worry bullshot, it sounds store-specific (the manager's wishful thinking).

I have said it before and will say it again. If there were to be a national change in the Tesco coupon policy you would read about it here first before your store had filtered it down to the staff.

IMHO you won't hear first about any change in the national coupon policy from a staff member in a store.

Re the Asda policy, we knew on MSE that it was changing at least a month or so before it did. And many stores took a month or two to act in line with the new policy anyway.

Thanks for making me feel better....but I hope the coupon abusers take note and see what they are doing..
