Thanks for all the suggestions, i did try the bicarb but it didnt shift it, maybe i should have left it overnight. will try the rice idea next and see how that goes.
Cold water and rice in a rabbit water bottle that has gone green does the same thing BTW.
Just realised i am having a bad spelling day after noticing i put flash instead of flask in the title...plonker lol

Bicarb usually works, my husbands flask gets disgusting, so once a week will put (quite a bit!) of bicarb in with boiling water, leave it sealed and give it a shake ever so often, leave it overnight it will remove it. if you have a bottlebrush squidge it round then rinse it well with more boiling water,,,you'll then have a sparkling flask.
I won't drink out of a flask for that reason, those horrible steggy brown floaty bits............ugh:eek:
If you're not sure where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.......:D

I always use milton. we have a stainless steel one which is worth its weight in gold - you can drop it and it wont break! - I also use a long bottle brush to give it a good scrub.

I use a bottle brush, washing liquid and hot water, it took me ages to find a brush that wasn't really expensive, but Wilkinsons had them for 89p.
