It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Of course they could get fat again. Unfortunately for those that have weight and eating issues its the underlying issues with why they need to eat that amount or what caused it. If thats not dealt with then they will always go back to being overweight. From my own personal experience I was massively overweight after I finished University and just one day decided enough was enough and lost 5 stone. Since then I always fluctuate by 1 stone but there is always a cut off point I get too when I think its time to do something about it again. I don't think I will ever just be able to eat what I want within moderation as ive spent 33 years like this and its kind of ingrained in me! I mean I had great expectations of loosing and getting down to a nice low weight during all this marathon training/running, but in fact I have put on over half a stone! Just think of the calories I have eaten to do that! Says its all really doesn't it!

I didnt mean to be insensitive - it's just something I was wondering about :o

I've always thought of food as fuel for my body and I just eat when I'm hungry so I dont really understand the mentality of how people get that big, its weird that I dont because my sister was very ill for a long time with anaorexia so its the same but reversed, but then I never got that either :o:o

That half stone could easily be muscle by the way - have you changed shape at all??

I never knew you were 5 stone overweight sally! Wow, that's pretty amazing, and to look at you i would have said you have a naturally small frame/build....

I honestly think you look great as you are now... half stone more or not!

Big G and i were talking about whether i will stop CD when i get to 12stone, which was my original target, and i said i really didn't know as i had never been slim in my adult life... he reckoned that to get to 10 and a half stone(top of healthy BMI. 25) would be too slim for my frame... but i said i honestly don't know what my frame is as it's been hidden under my bulk for so long!

When i get to 12stone i'm going to go see my GP, discuss what weight to aim for and ask about a boob job! lol!!! At least mention it and plant the seed in my medical notes.... i'm gonna need one at this rate!

Well there's one benefit from throwing up all weekend, my jeans feel slack!

I'm not recommending it by the way, it was horrible and I still have no strength at all!
