Corsa (Red) Possible Re-Spray?
Comments

It is certainly caused by the poor quality of paint used by Vauxhall ( and a few others ), my next door neighbour has a 1998 Nissan Primera, bright red, it looks like new, no fade, all he ever does is wash it, it gleams.0

What is it with red paint on cars? Whenever I see this fading problem it always seems to be on a red car.
My neighbour has a W Reg Astra which has the same problem as the OP. The bumpers and fuel cap cover aren't affected. Maybe the metal panels heat up more in the sun which speeds up whatever reaction is going on?
Have the manufacturers sorted this problem out on new cars I wonder?0 -

My red car is a bright red but my mum recently bought a dark red rover (06) and its showing no signs of fading at the moment.. ive heard that its corsas which are the worst for it.. 'corsa red' (in other words pink lol) x
Ford 'Radiant Red' is now known as 'Radiant Pink' for the same reason. I have seen radiant red Sierras absolutely gleaming, but I think their paintwork has been looked after from the start. Maybe it is unsaveable past a certain point.
But I do agree I have seen lots of pink Corsas. Why don't you just start calling it pink and pretend it is genuinely pink?

My 1997 Corsa did exactly that - a neighbour helped me out by using his industrial T-Cut and an electric buffer, took ages but it really worked, looked brand new (apart from the little rusty bits :-) ), and it's still pretty good now. See if you can get your hands on one of them?0
