I've just signed myself up on the NSD thread for 25 days  oh well, I like a challenge. I've left 5 days because there is always stuff I shouldn't be buying in the food shop. So, every other day has got to be a nsd. Are you joining in BB?

Yay we can be miserable together. I've just spent the evening racking my brains thinking of everything I might need (or want) this month. I'm such a cheat :D but in the end I was ever so good and just got stocked up on calpol for the baby's teeth and yet another new pair of trainers for amber. So I have no excuse to go into town now.

    Is it July yet??? :rotfl:

Toto can you not get calpol for free from your local chemist? Our chemists run a scheme called care at the chemist and you can get simple things from baby paracetamol to headlice stuff by simply filling out a form in the chemist.......worth asking!
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

no- I didn't get the job I went for on Wednesday. I'm supposed to be calling the head of that department at 10.30 to get feedback

the interview I have is on the 10th and is for a job I didn't think i'd get a look in for. It's all day _pale_ with tests and presentations, an interview and a Q+A session with staff.

Bank account looks like a plague of locusts has been eating through it today :( Need to have faith that all the bits i'm expecting will appear as needed to coincide with the bills going out.

Course I'm teaching starts tonight, not really in the mood but it's money I guess.

and I tried to call as arranged for the feedback on the job interview and after 3 calls (over a 15 minute period) I gave up. She wasn't at her desk. I left a polite but curt message saying I guessed she was very busy and if she could perhaps email me with the feedback I would be grateful.

Very unprofessional really - a round up of the experience:

I go for an interview that I'm only told about 2 days beforehand.

I wait over 24 hours to be told they haven't appointed anyone.

I am offered feedback, but when I ask for it, I can't have it that day - or the next - because although the manager is there, she is on 'study leave'.

I phone - 3 times - just before, at and then 5 minutes after the time I have been asked to call her for feedback today - and she isn't there.

I waited 10 minutes before I had to go out to see if she calls me back and she hasn't.

Not going to waste any more of my time on that situation. Even more glad I didn't get it - very rude not to be there when supposed to be - if something has happened, the least that could happen is that her PA pick up and explain. Just general rudeness to be honest.

1.5 hours on and there has been no email from her and she didn't call.

Right, gotta get changed and go to my teacher training class. The unit is 30 hours of equality and diversity (10 sessions at 3 hours).......30 hours...........sob.....
