The only way feedback can be removed by ebay is if it breaches the feedback rules:

  • Ok, am i right in thinking if i sell 21 items, all get good feedback bar 1 item, i'll be ok? Because ultimately i have about another 16 items waiting to be sent tomorrow as soon as post office is open again.

If so i can try drag it on for a few days - i dont know if she'll hold out in leaving the neg in hope i'll crumble. These emails only occured Sat and Sun.

My other thought is to tell her agian to return for a refund and be firm about it, only prob is she could leave me a neg on receipt of that email.

Or to send her a message outlining that what she is doing is feedback extortion and she has been reprted to ebay - hopefully that way she'll back off and do things properly.

Anyway there is a big risk - and i'm so annoyed as i have tried my best to do everything right!

I wouldn't ever let a buyer know you have reported them to ebay, I would wait and see what she does next.

You can also check how a neg will affect you here:

  • In the same name? And same address and all? I didn't think you were allowed more than one.

You can have as many as you like, you will need a different email address and different bank details for them though. You can add 8 different ebay ids to one paypal account.

  • So effectively as i have alot of listings live and quite a few people who have yet to pay. Plus people who are waiting on their items that they have won over the easter weekend its looking like closing the account is not really an option.

Which means in order to keep selling i need to open a new account (in different details i assume) or give in and give her a part refund (which then who knows if she'll then leave a neg feedback or not). Thats really bad!

  • Sorry we cross posted...i'll give it a go. Might actually ask OH to open one, he had one about a year ago which might still be active. Thank you!

Do not give in to this buyer, she may well just move on when she realises she can't bully you.

Stay firm and stay polite and hopefully she'll go and bother someone else.

  • I will try - fingers crossed. I'm soooo annoyed, i was relying on some income for our upcoming house move - just enough to cover removal costs as we have pushed our savings to the max just to secure the place. Thats why the temptation is there to give in now, when i never ever would normally.

It couldn't have come at a worse time for me, but thats just sods law i suppose.
