Purple is special. Its the holy grail of the weekly spending challenge! If you spend none of your budget at all (and ask PP nicely) you get coloured purple instead of green or red at the end of the week!:T Few have made it!
I am still on track so far this week. Someone brought mini muffins in to work so I was saved from buying anything else. Phew.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Just spent £2.50 on parking in town, bringing my weekly spend to £5.70.

Hi all
P P I have spent my money on days out and topping up the food, because I have not been organised and prepared lunch or free/cheap trips:mad:.
The cinema was a killer £23.00 for tickets and popcorn:eek:. then lunch at Mcdonald's £8.00 as a peace offering as they found the film scary - monsters vs aliens not good for 5 & 7 yr old girls. Friday is a day of rest I hope.:hello:SadSadJenJen

For me today I put £2.50 on my card at work for a latte and chocolate but still have a bit left. Also spend £2.89 on food after work before the cinema. So total for today is £5.49. This is working out not too badly :j
Yes as Tixy said purple is very special and I think we have only had 2 or 3 so far. I don't think I could manage it but I will keep on trying. Good luck to those who are going for it, it is definitely something to work up to.
sadsadjenjen my 4 year old nephew ran out of the cinema during monsters v aliens after about 5 minutes and my sister could not get him to go back in as he was scared of a lady they got bigger and came out of the screen. Surely someone should have thought this might be scary for kids!
I went to see the swedish vampire film tonight which was quite good but some people left after about 20 mins I expect they didn't realise it was in Swedish!Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

I will go for £10 again for next week.
This week's buys were:

Hi all
Another 12 hour shift, so no spends for me today.
Still on £1.14, though that might actually creep up tomorrow. Will have to find lots of things to do around the house to keep me away from the shops.
Have a good weekend all.

The vampire film was not funny but not like a horror film, it was more about the characters and how the boy interacted with the vampire as they became friends. Sounds rubbish but was quite good but then I like vampire films generally.
I went to see In the Loop tonight which I muchly enjoyed, I needed a good laugh and it was farcical. Good job for the cinema card or I would have spent a fortune.
Spends for today are £3 on card for work for sausage in a roll and latte this morning. Then £6 on lunch out with a colleague. Then £4.50 on snacks for the cinema. Total £13.50
I hope all you budgeteers have faired well this week.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Finished work late, drove home tired, so wanted to get a takeaway......
.....but nope I resisted. The lure of purple was stronger than the lure of food. Yay:jA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Ok, I started today with a budget of £30 and a spend of £22.79. I think this will be close and ultimately depressing, here goes nothing:
£2.60 on lunch with my friend, which we do most Fridays.
Went to the cinema (Monsters vs Aliens, 3D is cool but a decent film to go with it would be nice, when is Coraline out? I'm so excited about that it's ridiculous!) and spent £4.90  on a Ben and Jerrys hot fudge sundae. Fricking awesome it was too.
So, I have spent £7.50
Total spend this week: £30.29.
Bumfluff.
Mark me red please. If I had only gone for the smaller Fudge Sundae. Ach well, je ne regrete rien
