morning Bevan
sorry not been on for a while just dont seem to get the time ive given up on my diary (ppl must have found it boring lol)
sorry to here your not feeling well
just thought id pop in and say hello0 -
Hey guys
Not much new at the moment, scratch hasn't been working last couple of days but seems to be working again now. Even got £1 when I did it this morning so it’s made up for the day’s I’ve not been able to use it.
On my Grocery challenge, of only spending £200 I have £8.05 leftHopefully I won't need it.
My Make £5 a day has flopped, so far I have made £46.24 of £155. Don't think I'll try again for the moment as got a few things going on.
Health is going backwards; Dr advises rest and gave me the tablets I asked for. But I don’t really have time for ‘rest.’ We can’t afford me to take time off work so I have to continue with that for awhile, might ask for a week’s holiday in a few weeks to try and recharge the batteries a little. Will wait till DH has a tour close to Cornwall and maybe go home for a week.
Had big argument with DH last night, about lots of different things but one of them was how much help I get in the house (as in none!) He would be quite happy to live in a dump although he has always told me he prefers things clean and tidy, yet he CBA to do anything to keep things that way, he says he doesn't want me to do everything and yet if I leave things for him to do, they don't get done. If I ask him to do something he gets in a huff. We don’t live in the 19th Century anymore and there is supposed to be equality between men and women, and yet women are still treated like doormats. These days the women are having to do full time jobs as well as the men, but the difference is that the men go home and relax, the women go home to start they’re next job, looking after the house and family. How is that equal?
Good news is that we did seem to sort things out and he will help around the house more as he can now see that I am not superwoman and I can’t do everything myself as well as hold down a full time job. Hopefully this will last, I am now going to sort out different lists to put somewhere that he will be able to see so he is at least ‘aware’ of the jobs that need doing in the house. Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly jobs so that he doesn’t confuse himself. I might even give him a star if he does some of the items on the list! :rotfl: Like the flylady’s
Anyways, rant overHope your all ok

Thank you savingholmes, very good idea, we are all going to the cinema tonight, me, DH and his 2 boys to see Night At The Museum 2. Should be an enjoyable night, I've never been with the 2 boys before
SS2 (stepson) is always yap yap yap through DVD's so I don't know what he's like in the cinema while SS1 will sit and watch quietly
Jo, I am a bit up and down at the moment, feel like a yoyo on a stringone of the problems with this illness is that when I relapse the depression starts kicking in
I have anti-d's but I try not to use them (chocolate is much better!! just not for your teeth), I asked for counselling before and they sent me to a Psychologist who said she couldn't help me, but that was down in Cornwall, I haven't tried asking up here. Since me and DH 'talked' I have been feeling a bit brighter though so there is some good
Hopefully tonight at the cinema and a weekend of being able to rest will help
Hope baby is ok
Since our 'chat' on Wed, DH started cleaning! He had hoovered the sofa on Wednesday while I was at work, but yesterday he hoovered the stairs, landing, bedrooms AND he cleaned the bathroom!!! OMG!! So all I really have to do over the weekend is the washing and of course the ironing that comes after it lol
DH has got to work tomorrow so boys are going back to Mum's for the day and DH will pick them up again in the evening when he get's back so unless I can go with him tomorrow I will be at home with nowt to do (my Mum would say that's a good thing as she's been trying to get me to stay in the bed! She says rest is lieing in bed with nothing going on, no TV, no music, nowt! I'd go stir crazy!!!! So I'm going to veg on sofa watching DVD's instead. I can lie down and 'rest' on sofa cant I?hehe)
Do need to do one thing this weekend though, but will get DH to take me on Sunday. I need to get some more pots for my little veg. I need something suitable for turnips, broccoli, beetroot, rocket and pea's, the pea's are currently in toilet rolls!! but roots are starting to come through the bottom. B & Q have a 15% off Garden bits at the moment, Homebase are offering Double Nectar points till this Sunday (I think) but I also want to have a look in a Garden Centre not far from where we live (I still don't know my way around though so I will definitely get lost) just to see if they offer anything any cheaper than the first 2. Carrots are now coming through, blackberry plant now has 2 green bits coming out of the twig
Finances are slowly getting easier (although the current amount is higher than Jan again but will update siggy on 1st of every month), will hopefully be out of overdraft by end of JulyMoving wise, I have set up a SO to another account to take some money every month so that it is safe for if/when we need it. Depending on what sort of timescale we have (which is unknown) Hopefully by next summer we will have a little sum to get us by for a very little while, if I can throw anything else in I will be. I will be paying more than the minimum on one of the credit cards (highest interest and the most money on that one) and paying a little bit more than the minimum on the other. Will take us longer to clear them but we should be ok. So long as neither of us lose our jobs or anything happens to either of us we will be ok
Update on challenges:
Make £5 a Day - £51.06/£155 Never mind
Grocery Challnge - £214.95/£200 *Whoops, almost did it but DH cant live without chips!!!* Jan 09. Hi saving. THe film was good, but in my opinion not as good as the first, the first kept you going where the 2nd seems to be funny in parts but then gets rather boring, funny, boring etc etc the kids enjoyed it though, especially when there are 2 capuchin monkeys hitting larry!! That part we kept hearing about until they went to bed! lol I enjoyed having the VIP box!!! :rotfl::idea: Jan 09. I love going to the cinema, whenever I hear of people going I always think, yeah I really should make the effort - you wouldn't believe I studied film at uni would you?!?!
I also deffo think you can rest by lying on the sofa watching DVDs
Glad to hear DH is cleaning his little socks off, that's what we like to hear! My OH painted the kitchen this weekend, I was supposed to help but baby decided feeding and sleeping on me was more important LOL! Luckily OH didn't mind too much, it's blatantly obvious he likes being the man about the house and doing all that kind of stuff and as I am the one with the baby feeding apparatus, it balances out pretty well!
I'm also hoping to increase my payment on my credit card, my ebay savings should clear soon and then I can sort out paying some off woohoo! It's a great feelingDealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

My current veg garden:
Blackberry plant
Carrots
My potatoes (Thank you Mum)
L-R. Beetroot, Broccoli, Rocket and Turnip. Really need to buy some pots for these to go in now but need to wait till I have enough money.
Pea's
Strawberries
One little mint! lol
Iceberg lettuce's. They're a bit droopy as they had just been watered.
I didn't think they did a film course in unilol I spent Saturday resting, in between putting the washing in/out on line, I watched the aristocats on DVD, Hook was then on TV (cant remember which channel) I think there was another but I cant remember. Got a kitten in heat at the mo, all we're getting is constantly meowed at! Cant wait till we have the money to get her done as well
Her bro's already been done thankfully!
DH is away again tomorrowBack Friday but then be away again either Sat or Sun, don't know which yet. Hopefully be home for a week after that but don't know as the tour work is now in season.
Today I have managed to finish all the washing :T:j and spent the afternoon at the beach with DH and the 3 boys. Brilliant afternoon, enjoyed by all of us, littlest even fell asleep in car on the way home.
Back to work tomorrow, bu88er.
Feeding and sleeping sound very important Jo, definitely a good [STRIKE]excuse[/STRIKE] reason to rest
Having a good day todayfeeling a little more
than usual
so enjoying it while it lasts
