Things seem to be going t*ts up :(

According to spreadsheet we're going to go over the overdraft  DH has been needing money to try and get his car fixed (still working on it!!!) I could use one of the CC's but I really don't want to!!!!

Have had a chant with landlord as actually worked out how much we have overpaid them by, did a little spreadsheet and have given it to him and just waiting for his decision, unfortunately we still haven't got a contract so all we've got is his word 18 months ago that it's supposed to be £450pcm, explained that we are actually paying £485pcm, when I worked it out completely we have actually overpaid by £650!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I've set out 3 different solutions, depending on what he would of wanted a week, either £103 or £104, they all are 6 weeks at £0, then a payment in the 7th week and the next payment would be beginning of June so will be able to start paying monthly from then, REALLY need him to agree this as if he doesn't we will be screwed!! He did say £450 when we asked him what the monthly rent is supposed to be before we even mentioned anything else. So, just waiting for him to text or ring DH, or pop round. We haven't paid him anything yet this week, so no doubt he will be round if his decision is no.

Date Night was good, DH was slightly late, but we got in to see the film, Remember Me, was different to how I expected it to be, still trying to decide if it was one I liked or didn't. I definitely DID NOT like the ending, basing it around 9/11 I thought was a little out of order, no-one wants to remember the devastation of that day, we were all able to see it for ourselves, on the TV or for the poor people who were witnesses to the tragedy.

Roxburghe still haven't sent any statements, still waiting, think we might need to send another letter to encourage them to get a move on!! But then again, with the current situation, we need time to try and work things out *shrug*

Just dont know what to do, feel like I'm stuck in the deep end and can't swim no longer :o

Glad to here your doing well. those debt are coming down nicely and fingers crossed for that interview.

Your landlord is wrong not to give you a contract and did you pay a bond. Fingers crossed it goes your way.

Think I must've missed what originally happened with your landlord - how come you have been overpaying then? Is it a private let or through an agency?

    Hi Stacey & Jo

    The situation with landlord is...................

The landlord is DH's X Boss, he offered the house for us to rent as he knew I was moving up and we didn't have any money.
He said it would be £450 a month, and LL being LL, he did 450/4 which = £112.50, he then said not to worry about the 50p as he didn't want so much change every week.
It was something SH mentioned ages ago when the light flicked on, a year is not 48 weeks, therefore there isn't really only 4 weeks to a month, what we Should have been paying is something around £103.85 (450*12/52) So, in actual fact, for a monthly rent of £450, we were actually paying on average £485.
Still waiting on his response, unfortunately my ME/CFS is going backwards very quickly at the moment which isn't helping matters, as I need to be ok to keep on top of things, DH has also rung this afternoon to say he's got to go away overnight tonight and he'll be back tomorrow, he was supposed to go shopping tonight as it is shopping night and I can't do it on my own :( Going to check through everything tonight and hope that we don't need anything urgently, I don't think there is, but you never know. I might even give in and order it online as I won't be going to college this week, I am in agony from the moment I wake and the only time I don't have any pain is when I am asleep *shrug*

Really wish this part of my life was over already!!!

Phew, DH is finally home!!! First it was supposed to be tea time last night, then it wen't to 4am, then when he rang he said 6am he's be home, I woke at 7 to find he still wasn't home!!! Cue panic text! They'd been delayed further and he didn't want to wake me up, but he finally got home at 9:30, only had 3 hours sleep in 48 hours so he's gone straight to bed and said he'll set an alarm for 2 and go do the little shop then :) Can't wait to see him!!! Was looking forward to seeing him before I came to work, but never mind, at least him and 49 britains are home :) Apparantly the airport was ridiculous, no organisation or anything! 1 coach had to hang back they were that bad, thank god it wasn't DH's coach!

Still haven't heard anything from LL, don't know if that's a good or bad sign :s

Haven't checked bank yet, is on my to do list :) My wages won't go in till tomorrow as it's now been set up differently, going to have to nag at accountant to get the wages done on the Monday I send him them else everyone is going to get paid late!!

Emailed both college teachers, had a response from my Thursday night teacher offering whatever help she can, I will reply today as I don't know how she would be able to help, if I go to class I'm going to get confused as I've not been able to keep up while on holiday, I'm easily upset at the moment and don't really want to face a mini meltdown in class, but I also can't really stay for the workshop as it's too late *shrug* something needs to budge here and I can't work out what is easier *shrug* It would be soo annoying to quit when I've come so far to completing the first year!

    *Rant alert*
Woke with nightmare headache today, can't find my painkillers so hoping Nurofen Migraine will take some of the edge off it, legs are still half dead and now my ankles kill every time I stand, constantly dizzy, back kills, arms ache :mad::mad: God I hate this ME!!!
    *Rant Over*

At least when I get home I can have a cuddle from DH :)
Have a nice day peeps xxx

Today seems to be a nicer day :)

Still got a little headache but the migraine tablets are controlling that one, body is still painful, but DH is home :D It doesn't take away the pain but it makes me feel happier having him home :)

DH has had a phone call from the job he applied for last week, they wanted him to come in next week for an interview but unfortunately he is away next week, so they said it's ok and to go in week after :D Fingers crossed this one goes as planned as it would mean he wouldn't have to go away from home!!!! :j It does mean shift work, and probably some work at weekends but we'll tackle that if/when it happens, at least he would be at home to see them regularly instead of hit and miss every weekend :D They are also paid better, pay rates start at £6.?? and can go up to over £9 an hour!!! :D There is also opportunity for overtime :) *Prays to the heavens*

Jobwise for me still doesn't seem to be happening, still looking and applying as soon as I see something but not heard anything yet. Still thinking positive, something will come up eventually :)

Got 2 spreadsheets at the moment on the go, one with us having to pay rent and the other is for if we get our way on the rent situation, if it goes our way we could be debt free (of everything apart from my parents) by mid 2012 :D If it doesn't go our way, will take longer. DH has text landlord today but still not heard anything.

Finally the AA cashback has become payable :D so claimed for £21.50 :) Unfortunately scratch wasn't as short as I hoped, I saw they had a new game and they were offering it for 10p a go, the description described it differently to how it is actually played and I lost £3 on it :( So building that one back up again. Got over 10,000 points on S&S so have claimed my 2nd voucher for homebase, I can get my greenhouse now :D It's a shame I didn't apply for it on Tuesday as they have an offer this weekend of 10% off everything!!!! :o Bu88er! Never mind, I'm not actually paying for the greenhouse but it would of been nice to have some change out of it ;) hehe

Still not got a shoe tidy, going to wait till next month now before I actually buy one, see what sort of deficit the April SOA will throw at me :o

Dad has given me some money when I saw him, both times I've seen him and DH has INSISTED it gets spent on me and no-one else  It's been very difficult to actually find anything I would want instead of him or boys lol But, have pre ordered a PC game and a book from Play.com (£2 cashback :)) and bought a DVD and another book :) Still got some left over but can't think of anything else so keeping it to one side until I see something I like :) I have tried argueing with Dad about this but he won't take No for an answer (I know I get my stubborness from both him and Mum) so I have given up arguing with him and just say thank you and give him a massive hug :)

DH's car tax has actually gone up :( Which must mean mine will be up as well when it comes through the door, used to be £104.50 and it was £112.75 for 6 months.

Cant think of much else, if there is anyone doing the London Marathon, good luck and I hope the weather stays nice for you. Everyone else, enjoy your weekends, weather forcast says it should be nice but you never know in this country lol xxx

ETA If DH was to get this job, we could be debt free by Dec 2011 :D Keeping everything crossed now :D

    Afternoon everyone :)

Body is very slowly getting there, all though it is taking it's time about it! Might email Thursday nights teacher and ask if it's ok to drop in for the workshop but skip the class because of being so far behind, but will see how I feel by Wednesday first. I know there's no point going for the class, I am behind and being in a class full of people it will tire me out really quickly and then I'll be useless by the workshop.

Found a job on direct.gov which would be perfect, so have printed CV and cover letter, rang Mum to listen to the cover letter to make sure it all sounded ok, now just need to post it. It's less hours but doing what I'm learning in college :) Wage is negotiable depending on experience, going to try for atleast £6ph if I get an interview, as I don't have the experience of 'doing it' but have learnt about most of it :) Only 4 days a week and I would finish at 3.30 :) But I would be starting an hour earlier than I am now so unsure how that would work but the shorter hours and less days etc I should be able to cope with :) *fingers crossed* Of course, it would mean less money to pay off all debts, but would think about that if/when it happens

DH is still away, won't be home till Saturday :( Hopefully he can make some money this week as when the mechanic friend fixed the stalling problem he looked the car over and asked him when he'd last had it fully serviced :o he never has, he's been changing the oil and filters himself, he asked how much it would likely cost and friend said he'd do it for £80-£90 inc parts and labour, so hoping he does well so the car can get better :) Whatever he does make will be put to one side until we do have enough for the service.

LL still hasn't decided what he's going to do!! Driving me insane now as I wanted an answer by last weekend at least but he still hasn't spoken to his GF about it!!! Until he makes a decision we aren't paying the rent, keeping it on spreadsheets though in case he decides not to change things.

Found what might be a perfect home :) just waiting to hear if the LL would accept pets *shrug*

Finally got to the bottom of the washing :j:T Inc all the stuff left on the spare bed in boys room :) Now just need to try and stay on top of it :)

Hope you've all had nice weekends :)

Is good you're starting to feel a little better - how are you today?

Hope the LL sorts it out, I'd keep gently pressing him because the last thing you need is things rolling on and on. I'm guessing he's pretty busy and hasn't gotten round to it - understandable but very annoying for you, you'd think as you're (probably) paying the mortgage for him he'd be a little more on the ball!
