Well, what a couple of days!!! Gizmo is still in kitty hospital, we were hoping he would be able to have the catheter out this morning but just spoken to the vet and he still has a little blood in the urine so they want to keep it in a bit longer until it's completely clear, they'll review it later and if they decide to do it this afternoon they will ring and let me know, I'm free to keep ringing for updates on him as the Vet said
Which I do every evening. Angel is missing him and crying all night, all I hear when I go to bed, and still hear it in the morning is her crying out for him
Filled the form in and handed it to the Vet yesterday morning, ticked the box for them to pay direct to Vet so I shouldn't have to pay anything now and my account there will be in creditJabs will be cheaper this year then
I asked the Vet if he was overweight, as he is a very fat cat, and she said he is a little, but it's not an uncommon thing for indoor cats to be a little overweight *phew*
SH I'm waiting for the third thing, they say things always happen in 3's, we've had the refusal from PCT, Gizmo, what's the third??? I hope it's gentler than the first 2!
Jo I hope your doing ok, will have a peep at your diary in a bit
Got another annoying cold, just as I was getting rid of the last one!!!! More cough than anything else this time which is starting to hurt.
Financially, we are still doing ok, we will need the overdraft for the CSA payment this month, but hopefully won't need it again.
I've finally managed to get my pay to hourlySo wages will be different from this week, I was being paid for 40 hours a week when only working 38-39 and I didn't feel right doing it that way, I'll only have 38.5 this week as was late yesterday morning waiting for the Vet's to open to drop the form in, wanted it in asap so they could send it off and start the claim.
Still haven't talked with DH, we seem to of hit a rough spot, which if I'm honest started a while ago, before this letter, but the letter seems to of been the catalyst, like a grenade being tossed in and sending everything in opposite directions and I have absolutely no idea what to do *shrug*
I can't wait for my week away!!!! Hope everyone is ok xxx

Poor Gizmo - hope he's out soon.
Sorry to hear about troubles with DH. The current situation obviously isn't going to help. Not sure I'm any kind of relationship guru but I find talking and thrashing things out works for me. I have long realised that doing the silent thinking thing doesn't work to solve things - OH has said so many times I have to speak because he can't read my mind. Keep talking, I don't think it matters you getting upset - because after all you ARE upset!
And good news about the loan amount going under 10k, it's these targets along the way that hep keep the motivation going:TDealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Hi Jo
I think what I'm most worried about is I will hear something I don't want to, everytime he get's like this it's becuase of something I've apparantly done, I don't normally have a problem with talking, it's getting him to talk when he has a problem, I've just go so much going on (reversal and gizmo) that I don't think I could handle another 'issue' He almost told me when I rang him yesterday afternoon but because he'd stressed me out enough already I told him to forget it and hung up on him
When he has a problem he has to turn into an a*sehole, he wants to talk to someone but choses to do things he knows hurt and annoy me to make me angry.
If I have a problem I have to sort it myself as I can't talk to him as he always takes it wrong and suggests the things I really shouldn't do to solve the problem.
What I would love is if someone could come into my life and take over being head of the household for a monthThat way I can try and get my head straight!
Men, they are almost always the root of all problems!!!!
The issue at the moment is he won't come near me, not even for a simple cuddle!!! If I go to him for a cuddle he'll walk away, if it's on the sofa, he'll get up and go somewhere else, so long as he isn't near me. He just doesn't seem attracted to me anymore, bed these days is for sleeping, nothing else. If there is someone else I don't know if I'd rather live in denial and put it out of my mind or find out and break everything I've tried to create up hereIt wouldn't be the first time I know, but I atleast had my family around me last time.
PS The loan is around £2500, but this months payment has brought the total debt to below £10k

What a weekend, so much sunshine!!
And then Monday morning comes with rain :rotfl:
Well, finally managed to get some of my plants pottedI bought 2 of the miniature roses that were knocked down to £1 each, got them potted, now sitting on my windowsill, still looking a little dead but 1 is looking greener
Taken all the brown leaves away from the strawberries, need to re-pot them too in some fresh soil but didn't have any spare pots so need to get some firstI've put them in the greenhouse (what's left of it) to try and stop them being blown everywhere as it's very windy up here today.
Potted the blackberry and rhubarb tooThe rhubarb I won't be able to touch till next year, but atleast it's started
After unwrapping the blackberry I saw this one had roots at least, with a massive shoot just under the soil levelThe one I bought last year although it started to leaf a little, didn't have any roots, it was just a twig, so hoping this one is more successful.
Problems with DH have been sorted, and now more relaxedWe had a chat friday night, which he kept trying to put off by mentioning things of friends from Facebook!!
Gizmo is still in hospital, but things are looking better. They tried to take the catheter out on Saturday, but within half hour they were ringing me to ask permission to put it back in as he was still struggling, so they changed drugs and they are hoping to take it out again this morning, finger's crossed this time it worksHe needs to go 24 hours and pass enough wee for the vet's to be happy before he can come home, understandably. Poor Angel has been crying still, they've never been separated more than a day before, the longest time was when he was in to get 'done' and he was home the same day. I hope it works as would love to have him home before I go to Cornwall.
Finances are still ok, in the overdraft till we get paid on Thursday and will be in and out of it every now and then, the pet insurance company should pay straight to vet so should mean we will be in credit, which will come in handy when we have to buy the special cat food for Giz.
CSA have finally started working correctly!!!
We still haven't worked out what we're going to do about having the babies *shrug* spoke to Mum who has a friend working in the sort of department down in Cornwall and she said that when the PCT say no, there's no point fighting it a third time as it won't change the decision. So, our options are:
- Save up £1500-£2000 to go private
- IVF
The cold seems to of faded away thankfully without getting too badImmune system must be getting a little better
1 week today and I'll be seeing Peter Andre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ;):D:j:T I can't wait
Can't think of anything else, I hope everyone has had nice weekendsxxx

I think all mornings should start this way
The sun was shining this morning but seems to be hiding again this morning
But, the big news is:
Gizmo is coming home:j :T
Vet rang me this morning with normal update and said he can come home todayArranged for him to be transferred to our local vet and need to ring them this afternoon to arrange a minute or 2 to speak to the Vet to find out what else we can do to hopefully prevent this happening again. I know we'll need the food and I also wan't to get a refill for the diffuser to help Giz settle at home gently and to keep him calm and relaxed. When I rang last night they said he was feeling much better without the catheter (of course, no one likes one of them) and was rolling around his cage trying to get belly rubs!!! She said it was a nice change to have a cat in who doesn't swipe or bite
That's Gizmo, he doesn't scratch (on purpose) or bite but loves playing and normally keeps his claws in
Haven't checked the bank yet, but have finally started to get my a*se into gear and doing the daily scratch againWon 20p yesterday
Had emails from S&S and got the maximum againIf I continue like this I should be able to get the greenhouse in 3-4 weeks
I just need to find something heavy/strong enough to stop this one blowing over and getting damaged. Any idea's would be brill
6 days to Peter AndreI text both Mum and Sister this morning saying the same thing and they both responded saying 'I thought you were coming down on Sat' :rotfl: I am going down on Saturday, but it's 6 days till I see PA
Can't think of much else, can't wait to see my lil guy!
Hope you all have a good dayxxx

Just had a phone call from the lady who deals with the claims and she's asked if I'd like to claim from September when we last had problems with him
She said it was worth a try and if it happens our account with them will be in credit by quite a bit, last year cost us around £175, this time has cost us £130 ish, but that's not including the bill for while he was in hospital, the figure of £200 was before the complications so would probably be more than £200 by now so in total it's around £500 before complications  She also said we could have it refunded if we wanted
Will see how much we are in credit before I decide on what to do, they can't claim for the food but I can use the balance to pay for it
Will ask tonight if I can add it to the account and see what happens when they get the payment

I just checked CC2 and found that the minimum payment has now gone below £25, when I saw that a little idea popped into my head, to try and pay a little more towards CC1 therefore clearing it quicker, shall I lower my monthly payment to CC2 to £25 and up the payment to CC1 to £60.
Does anyone think this is a good idea? Or might as well just stick to £55 to CC1 and £30 to CC2
ETA I was interested in what the order is in which they pay the money too on the card and am a little confused.
Allocation of payments.
If you do not pay your balance in full, payments we receive will be applied in the following order:
- Insurance Premiums
- Interest, Charges or Fees (other than foreign currency fees)(in that order)
- Balance Transfers (those with lowest rates being paid first) *cheeky bu88er's, I don't have a balance transfer on this card*
- Retail Purchases (in the order they were added to your account)
I'm struggling to understand that one, if it is the way I think it is, then the money I am transferring is paying the balance before I started using the card again, therefore lowering the interest on those items. If I continue doing this does anyone think it might catch up with itself therefore reducing the amount of interest I am paying on the old debt? Or will it jump up as I mentioned later on??
So if I'm paying £30 a month still it will only be paying £10 in interest as it pays it first, but this will go down quicker as I am transferring x amount of money every week onto the card and £20 will go toward the debt, or because I'm also spending on this card the interest won't change much?
Don't know if I explained that very well but I hope someone understood it *shrug*
Thought an example might explain it better:
500 balance at last statement
260 spent
260 transferred
The 260 that get's transferred, goes onto the 500 instead of the new expenditure yes? Therefore lowering the interest on it, but within 56 days the 260 that was spent will have interest on top

Erm... yes. As in yes to that last example - I think! At least that's how I understand it.
So the £500 balance is CC1's? Personally I'd go with throwing all my energies into one particular debt, esp. if that's the one with the highest interest. Have you snowballed it to see how it would work for you?Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Good morning
I thought it was that way too JoI wish CC1 was that low lol it's still at £1830 ish
Going to wait till end of the month and see how it's looking once I've finished March's SOA and do April's to see what kinda money we need/have left
Unfortunately can't snowball at the moment as SOA says I don't have enough to pay off debts in the first place *shrug* I am putting the bulk of the money towards CC1 though to try and get rid of it.
Well first night home seems to of gone ok, he's terrified of Angel though as she keeps hissing and growling at him, even attacked him for no reason last nightGoing to ask the vet if they have any refills for the diffuser, forgot to ask last night as I just wanted to get him home
He even fell asleep on me around 11pm, he very rarely sits on me let alone fall asleep, I didn't want to go to bed lol He needs to be on a special diet for 6-8 weeks, not allowed ANY other type of food so have to try and stop him eating Angel's! Easier said than done lol He needs to go back in for a check up this friday, need to try and get a urine sample in 3 weeks to check how the crystal's are. After the 6-8 weeks he will be going on the prescription diet to try and prevent it from happening again.
I asked what the total came to after the hospitalisation and then realised I am very happy I have pet insurance!!!! Total came to £530!!!! And they are claiming for a cheque for £808 to try and claim for when he was poorly in september, which means my account will be in credit about £250 worthIt won't last long though, a 2kg bag of biscuits is £18!!!! I got 2 4kg bags of whiskas biscuits for £15 a few weeks ago!! He's going to be an expensive cat!
Everything else seems to be ticking over nicely, need to dig out SOA and put all the new expenditure on it etc I don't think I'll be paying anything extra to CC1 next month though, with my wages changing it's made the deficit largerBut atleast I have a clear conscience that I'm not getting paid for not being at work
Hope everyone has a nice day xxx
