What a nice suprise I had waiting for me when I got home last night, a letter from a Solicitor, located just around the corner from Roxburghe office!!!! Massive thankyou to magpiecottage!!!!! Who helped me enormously when I was struggling trying to fill in the letter with the correct legal jargon, will be posting it tonight so hopefully this will all be over soon, even saw someone was able to claim compensation for the amount of stress it caused them, wonder if I'd be able to claim on health grounds because all this stress hasn't helped with the ME/CFS!
On a nice note, just received an email from Opinion World asking if I'd like to sign up to the TNS Shop & Scan, it was the main reason I signed up to them in the first place so can't wait to get home and accept nowFor the first 'shop' they will give me £10 worth of points!!! You can redeem for vouchers anywhere and everywhere, will definitely come in handy!
Finally put my greenhouse back up last weekend, unfortunately the cover is very ripped up and need a new one but Homebase don't do replacement covers for the 4 tier one's, but they have got a special offer on them, instead of being £30 (which I paid last year) they've knocked it down to £20 for the whole thing, frame as well as cover, debating on it and if I do the shop and scan I could do it that way tooHomebase have a nice deal on fruit plants at the moment too, 2 for £5, I bought the blackberry plant last year for 4.99 from Makro, but unfortunately in the wind and bad weather over winter it died, but I can get 2 from Homebase this time for same price, another thing to add to the wish list!! I love my blackberry and apple pies/crumbles and didn't get any berries as it died, it gives fruit in the second year so would of had some this year (rotten weather!)
Strawberries are still going, haven't watered them in weeks and they are still growing!! :rotfl: A bit brown and mouldy in places but still looking ok, need to tidy them up a bit and might risk putting them in the greenhouse again, the cover is on but quite a few holes in it.
SH have you never been to a concert before?? I haven't been to many, I went to see Spice Girls (not by choice!!!!!) when I was younger, sister was a massive fan and Mum took us, my choice was stay in the car with dad for 3 hours, or go inside to the concert, obviously I chose to go in, was more fun than sitting in the car, seen Marti Pellow (yum yum) twice now and now going to see Peter Andre in 3 weeks and 6 days(You cant tell I'm excited can you? hehe)
Only another hour to go, but have a little list I need to complete tonight:- Homework to be done ready for college tomorrow and thursday (If can't do both, just do tomorrows homework and do thursdays tomorrow night after college) Ironically it's tomorrow nights I'm struggling with
- [STRIKE]Accept the invite to Shop & Scan [/STRIKE]:)
- Watch the weather and hope for snow (I know I don't like it, but could do with the day off it might bring if it is bad enough)
- [STRIKE] Do shopping tonight for weekend in case it does snow and can't get out (or in my case, cant be bothered to get out on a friday night when EVERYONE is also in there)[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Sandwichs are done, but need to put everything in lunch box in case it doesn't snow[/STRIKE]
- Try and get an early night :rotfl: *Gone out the window as it is now 22:20*
- Check bank and update spreadsheet
- Do March's SOA, surely CC1's interest will be on early in Feb as there are less days?

Well, woke up this morning and what did I see? Rain
Bu**er! So, I'm at work, having a few problems with right hand at the moment, and I am right handed so no idea how this day is going to go, very achey and the 'fleshy' part below the thumb is sore to touch? Maybe I strained it lifting a piece of paper :rotfl:
Little list
Watch the weather and hope for snow (I know I don't like it, but could do with the day off it might bring if it is bad enough) *Didn't snow*
Check bank and update spreadsheet
Do March's SOA, surely CC1's interest will be on early in Feb as there are less days? *CC1's interest wasn't on last night, hoping it will be today*
Accepted the Shop and ScanCompleted all the questions and questionnaire's, clicker should be sent out in a couple of days and then can start earning some points, I have 1000 points from doing the questionnaire, will get 10,000 points from first shop, and then you get 1000 points for every week you scan in, which means £10 voucher every 10/11 weeks
Checked out the website, doesn't look difficult at all, I think even DH could do it!! :rotfl: Which he will have to do while I'm away
Will see if he's ok to do it, if not I just have to notify them that I'm on holiday for a week and not to expect an upload from me. He came with me to do the shopping
Meant to look at prices for a new mop and bucket, the one that was left in the house is very smelly and I can't find any refills or any way of taking just the mop part off the handle, saw the advert for the new vileda mop and in Asda they had the mop and bucket for £3 each
So snapped them up
Will try and get round to doing the floor before friday as it's a nightmare when the boys are up and down the stairs every 5 minutes when your trying to mop the floor.
Posted the letter of complaint to Roxburghe, need to wait now and see what comes next. If they take no notice of the complaint then I can complain to the Financial Ombudsman.
Think I might start doing the shopping on a Tuesday from now on (unless I can't if too tired and will just get it delivered on fridays) Shopping on a friday is a massive mistake as there is always so many people in there, wednesday and thursday I have college, so only leave's mon and tue, weekends are my time to rest (in the middle of washing and cleaning) and last night was lovely and quiet
Got 2 meals planned for this weekend, HM Shepherds Pie (without the pea's, both me and SS1 don't like pea's) and hopefully a HM Lasagne, see if I can do it without my MumI cheated and bought the white sauce to go on the top though, I've tried making the sauce like Mum taught me and it never tastes the same *shrug shoulders*
Got a cold developing, had a sore throat for over a week now so knew something was coming, annoying how it's come at similar time as TOM comes!! So sniffles, blocked nose, sore throat and cramps! Wonderful mixture :rotfl:
Hope everyone has some nice weatherxxx

I make veggie shepherds pies and lasagnes quite a lot (most weeks) and really once you get the hang of it it's dead easy!
I usually make a couple of lasagnes in a go, I make it using the sauce I'd use for a spaghetti bolognaise sauce but chuck in some more veggies (depends what we have in the fridge) sometimes spinach is good, then layer it up, red sauce, then HM cheese sauce (yum), layer of pasta, repeat then top with ridiculous amounts of cheese:D In fact I really want to make one for tea now LOL! We have one for tea and freeze one, for the frozen ones I layer the dish with foil before I put everything in, freeze it then tap it out of the dish and wrap it in another layer of foil.
Shop and Scan is good, I used to do that a few years ago and would love to get back into it, the vouchers always came in handy and I quite liked scanning everything (geek!)Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Morning Jo
If you go to volounteer4panels.com (I think) you can apply to become a part of it again, I applied not long after I started on here so it's taken almost a year to be invited, but I got there eventually
It's the cheese sauce I always make wrong, it's always got too much flour in it *shrug* I make it with pasta sometimes to make a change from butter or salad cream. DH doesn't like lasagna, so I freeze the 4th portion for me to have laterSherpherd is something new I haven't done before, DH and boys all like Cottage pie, and DH let slip a few weeks ago that he does in fact like Shepherd's pie, even though he's been telling me for ages he doesn't like 'anything' with lamb in it! Grrr Finally found a frozen ready meal I can eat without too much aggravation after, which is Asda's GFY Shepherds Pie, which is what gave me the idea to try one myself
When you freeze it, do you cook it first before you put it in the freezer? Or just put everything in on top of foil and freeze then cook when ready to eat it, I don't think I have a big enough freezer but worth knowing for when I get a freezer big enoughOr maybe another little freezer
I'm looking forward to it being easy, at the moment trying to cook 1 HM meal on a weekend is tiring enough, trying to do 2 I only ever do with Mum around as no-one else there to check it if I get tired and need to sitBut hoping that these 2 will be relatively easy to do, lasagne is simple enough and the shepherds pie is similar to cottage, just different meat and extra veggies
I like the idea of scanning too hehe I love the scan yourself spots at supermarkets (might be something to do with being a cashier when I was younger lol) and the little Shop and Scan machines that Safeway used to do, I used to love them!!! Jan 09. It sounds like you are having a painful time again....

Oh no SH, I hope your feeling better soon. I know you'll be looking for a job, but try and prioritise getting yourself better first, if you don't have your health you won't be able to maintain the job, I hope you find something close to home this time
Well, it still hasn't snowedDH said it looked like it was trying to last night but nothing happened
TOTM is being annoyingly painful!! Not mixing well with the aches and pains in my hands, arms and legs
Went to college last night and can;t remember a single thing we did, I know what I did was right but without the ability to concentrate and recall things I don't remember much *shrugs* hoping tonight will go ok, found out what I thought was homework for last nights class in fact wasn't homework at all, no-one knows why we had the template in the first place lol now found out what the homework was and will do it over weekend and email it in to them.
CC1's interest has finally gone on, so can do a proper SOA now! Currently making overpayments of around £3 a month on it as minimum payment is around £51-£52, and I pay £55 a month, regardless of the amount, so it's gotta be doing something right, shaving a little of the interest off, just wish I could get rid of it all!!!
No list for today, just going to try and take today as it comes until I can finally get back in my bed!
Still haven't received a letter from hospital or Dr about the reversal, chased it last week and was told we should hear something this week, I'm guessing by the amount of time it's taken it's going to be a no, so trying to think what else we can do. IVF may mean that we'd have to use a donor and I'm not sure of that idea, if I was going to have a child, I would prefer it be from both of us, not just one of us *shrug*
Hope you all have nice, productive/resting days xx:idea: Jan 09. Debt @ LBM - £11936.55 Debt at worst - £12600.55 Current Debt (01/03/2012) £8,859.51 29.7% Paid offHoneymoon Fund £410.40/£6000 House Deposit £1.50:A Proud to be dealing with my debts. DFW Nerd 1177 :A0 -

Well, it's looked better but atleast the shortfall is smaller, hopefully I can change that if I can cut on groceries and petrol (Mum and Dad might offer to pay some of the petrol like they usually do and I will be good and accept as it will mean I can overpay)
Few biggies in April, DH Car tax and insurance, debating on wether to do 12 or 6 months again until next year *shrug* will decide closer to the time. First month of council tax is always higher than the rest, estimating £150 on spreadsheet but hoping it will be lower, I don't want to have to use the overdraft, but if I do it won't be much atleast.
Cant snowball as the shortfall won't let me, only 3 more payments to Littlewoods for ipodbe a spare £40 a month then, hopefully ease things up a bit.

Hi Bevan, I came accross your diay as I was doing a search on Roxburghe.
My hubby has received a letter from them 72 hours to pay or field reps would come. He contacted them re the debt as he is sure it isnt him, we rec'd a letter about 3 months ago and the person on the phone said the original creditor (3) was always getting details wrong and not to worry about it, so we never, then the above letter was rec'd. Just wondered how things are going? and i'll check back for updates, as we have just started the process of proof etc.
Good Luck with your diary and weldone for sticking to it x0 -
Hi vickie, hope you didn't have to read through the whole thing to get to Roxburghe
thats only been going for about 3/4 weeks. Last letter I sent was on Monday which was the letter of complaint magpiecottage helped me with. Now it's just a waiting game until we get some sort of response from them.
As I've been told, don't ring them, they can get your phone number that way and then they can start ringing you, including late at night. I haven't rung them, I've just sent them the letters, 3 in total now, sent them all recorded delivery so I could make sure they all get there. Depending on what next response from them is, still badgering us we will be writing to the Financial Ombudsman, if they apologise we will let it go.
I've checked DH's credit report, there's nothing on there, he has no recollection of this debt, and they seem to deal with a lot of 3 debts, and we've never had a debt with 3, the only thing we have had is PAYG internet, never anything on contract *shrug*
Having major issues at work this afternoon, somehow a virus has got onto it, wondering if both my PC and DH's lappy will have it also when I get home, but will have to wait till I get home from college to sort them. Bloody technology!! Whoever came up with the idea of a computer virus was a complete ******* idiot!! Jan 09.
