I'm on citalopram, prozac never really worked for me. Last time I was on them I has something else from the same group but with a different name. That worked and it made me really sleepy so I was dreaming every night. I was hoping I'd get them again because it made sleeping interesting, I never knew what I was going to dream about!

    Hi All,

These are the ones I am back on now too, Jen most anti depressants take about a week to start working, been on mine for 12 days now, are helping me I think.

Just cos your on them doesn't mean you will be hooked forever, I have been on and off them about 4 times over last 9 years.

I do feel a bit stupid going back on them just because my relationship ended but with all the games from ex and picking me up and putting me down for 4 months it just became way too much with other stresses of life as well such as living alone.

Been back at my Dads since last Thursday, I am a lot happier not being alone but again feel a bit of a failure for not being able to cope alone, I could financailly, but just.

yeah 11 items listed on e bay going to leave it like that for now as when (if) they sell i will have to find the energy to package them etc.

Dawn there is no shame in not coping well on your own it took me a few years i be able to cope and now 6 years on i atill phone ex when i need help. leeking tapes, broken electricals etc. There is no shame at all in asking for help.

I have still not taken any tablets.

let me fill you guys in on the background stuff regarding work for the last month.

I started working extra hours in the nursery in october and the uni course in september so i was working 26 hours a week plus uni 4pm til 9pm every monday. along with all the other things like the dog my daughter, cooking cleaning housework shopping etc.

I have always suffered low moods in October and generally just work and sleep right the way through October but this year i have so much extra stuff do was very busy and sort of worked through it. (i thought)

Anyone November mood was lower and motervation levels really dropped. So i spent a bit of time thinking and decided it was time to re evaluate. so i asked work if i could leave my job in family support and work in the nursery 16 hour a week term time only. Then i could spend time with dd and do my uni course while still working. Seemed ideal drop in the income but life is to short and i wasn't coping.

2 Weds ago my manager called me into her office and asked me why i didn;t want to be a family support worker so i told her everything i was finding hard etc. Then she told me NO i cannot go into the nursery and my motervation level are far to low. basically i am not doing my job. i completly feel apart. i was so gutted and feeling depressed anyway i already thought i wasn;t good enough and was annoyed with myself. So i have to continue doing 26 hour plus everything else and i am not coping.

    What can i do?
I am sure i am depressed and i think work has caused it! I feel really annoyed with myself and i don't know if i will ever be able to face work again.

this is why my mum thinks i am not depressed she said it is normal to feel like crap after the way i was treated. But if i am not depressed why do i wake up in the night crying for no reason???

I am half back, only got Dad's pc and feel rude sitting on it all the time plus TBH its been nice just hiding away from it all and any emails I might receive from the ex

Jen I am sorry the job thin didn't work out as planned, I think you should start taking the tablets, you won't get hooked.

I think your manager needs to be helping you not just having a go x

Hi all-Lilmiss don't feel bad for going back on the Ad's for that reason-i'm on them coz i had a panic attack while driving to work, how daft is that!! these things can come out of nowhere so never feel bad for how you feel.

Jen-your manager sounds like a cow,so sorry you had to put up with that. IMO you have depression (probably partly coz of the winter) not that I'm a doctor! Yes,being treated like that would get anyone down but if you are already feeling low,not wanting to eat and no motivation then i think its a bit more than that. The doctor wouldn't have prescribed you the tablets for no reason. Only you can decide if you want to take them but I would, yes you may feel crap for a couple of weeks but you will feel better in time for Xmas and be able to enjoy it-if you let things go they will prob only get worse.
Good luck for phoning them, you will feel so much better when it's over and done with and remember if they don't like it then **** them. You are the most important person in this situation.

thanks mm that has really helped. I am so worried about being on the tablets for years. I don't think i will be because i am determind not to be. I have heard from so many people that have been on them most of there life which is very scary.

found getting up today very difficult. Just couldn't get up so over sleep and dd was late for school. First time she has been late in 4 years!! oh dear now i feel really bad
