Hi Princess Jane, it depends on your colouring we seem to of worked out that pink toned people need a higher %, check the veins on the inside of your wrist if your not sue if your pink or yellow toned, blue veins then your pink toned, green veins your yellow toned, inbetween then your neutral. If you are yellow toned a 6 or 8% will probably give a good result if your pink I would start on a 10%, neutral start with an 8% - hth lets us now how you get on, also regular light layers wear better than several at once:)

Very pink-toned - white skin with almost sky blue veins - and I go that horrible corned-beef effect when I'm really cold.

It's being royalty you see, generations of refined breeding = delicate skin, LOL.

I'm going to order some Suntana today then will report back later in the week.

 My 4 year old son has just got hold of my Celeb Secrets 16% spray bottle out of my makeup bag and liberally misted the whole bathroom with it.
Thank god a little goes a long way. Don't know what colour he'll end up as I can't really tell how much has gone on him. I should scrub him in the bath but the Bad Mum part of me says "lesson learned, son"

Hi everyone, received my siennasol sample today so will be tanning tonight, I had run out of everything but heres a strange thing I had enough 16% from celeb secrets to do one leg, thought it might go a bit further but no, so I put a layer of my daughters 6% on the other one and the rest of me and it all looks the same, not to bad actually, not as dark as I would like but still darker than most, will let you all know how I get on with the siennasol:)

How is everyone? Are we all still beautifully bronzed, FelinePrincess, have you got the fake bake moisturiser yet, its in debenhams with 25% off if you have one near you and it clearly says oil free, I would of got some but had too many bags with me and needed the Loo:rotfl:

    Hi all!

Not as brown as I'd like to be today, had major scrub couple of nights ago and only had time to apply 2 layers since - it has taken the edge off my whiteness but it's not my usual 'just got back from 2 weeks somewhere hot' look!

Glowgirl, what you say about the 6% supprised me, do you think celeb secrets have had a mix up and your daughter has 16%? If not, it makes me wonder if having a higher percent makes that much of a difference, although I'm sure (well, I like to think!) that my 20% mix is darker then my 16%!

Haven't got round to getting the fake bake moisturiser yet, will try and get it later or tomorrow!

Have you tried out your siennasol yet?

Still nicely broned thanks glowgirl...............the old Celeb Secrets is rapidly being used up and if they are going to be funny about people just buying the smaller sizes, may try the Seinnasol next.

#When I was over in LA the hotel I was staying at had a salon advertising a self tan lotion, cant remember the name if it off-hand but the girl on reception gave me a card with their ordering details on, I remember they advertised it as a "fresh, non streaky, natural tanner that you cant tell from the real thing". I think it was pretty cheap, defferent strengths and she said that they did export to the UK.

Must have a look through my bits and peices and see if I still have the details and post them on here
total airhead, total bimbo, very superficial:D

OK, I've been lurking on this thread for ages! Decided to go for Celeb Secrets 12%. I have yellow-toned skin and had a fab tan about a month ago from hols, but fading rapidly, so had a good body scrub and tanning session on Thursday night. Tried CS - with a spray and latex gloves. Admittedly the spray was not v.good - thinking I need a fine spray? But also, applying with gloves kind of felt like I was rubbing it away.

Saturday morning I had a nice glow, but not v.dark, so had to top up owth St Tropez before going out last night.

Do you think it was the gloves - is it better to use a mit/sponge?

    Please help!:o

Yes absolutely, I don't even know how you managed to get it on, you must be good at it if it looks ok. Buy a mitt from superdrug or similar for about £3 and you'll never look back, wear the gloves as well cos the product seeps through the spongy bit on the mitt as its water based therefore very thin, 2 layers will probably give you the colour your after and your right about the spray bottle the finer the better cos it gives you more control even better if you spray on to the mitt and then apply, good luck let us know if you need any more advice and how it turns out:)

I put on 1 layer of sienna sol the other day and haven't had time to do anymore since, the one layer, on top of a layer of 6% gave me a gorgeous colour and seemed finer, if that makes sense, then the Celeb secrets but all in all there wasn't much difference. This morning I had a shower and a good exfoliate, the colour is less but still good and seems to be fading more evenly then the celeb secrets:jI am going to top up tonight, I will be ordering from them and will have a read through and get dd a lower % as well so all in all I am a happy tanner:D
