So now ive joined the ranks of tanaholic annonymous, my sister bought me a san tropez starter set
ive found its gone on much better than the React, and no dotty pores! - Think i might mix the React with some moisturiser (would the san tropez accelerator be ok?), as perhaps its just the spray/mit i cant get on with

Hi all, just thought I would update with my tanning, today I tried to order from Siennasol, I have a specific account that I use for internet purchases and keep the balance very low, I transfer from my current account the amount that I need. So I put £10 in my internet account and tried to buy 125 mls of 16% + P&P a total of £8.98, my card was refused and when I called my bank to find out why they said that whoever (paypal) Siennasol use for clearing had taken an additional £2.50 verification charge, apparently this does not leave my bank but is unavailable to use for another 7-10 working days.
There is nothing anywhere on the site to say that they do this, although I have heard of it from tescos who take £1 verification charge if you pay at the pump for petrol. I called Siennasol, the chap I spoke to was very nice and said he had never heard of this so I called my bank again and got it all confirmed, I called siennasol again so if this happened to someone else they would be able to answer any questions and be more informed. Again the chap was really pleasant and offered to send me a sample which he said wasn't much smaller than the 125mls :TI told him I had requested a sample 3 times and nothing, he replied that the samples had been posted on MSE and another freebie site and he had received 7000 requests:eek:each sample apparently costs the company £2.50 so he only sends them out at his discretion which I did think was fair enough.
I have finished my celeb secrets now, putting on 3 layers one after another gave me a great colour for about 3 days and then it went really patchy so this morning I had a super scrub, used up the last of the celeb secrets and had a saga with siennasol, however I am really looking forward to trying this new product and will report back as always:)
How is everyone else getting on? Any news anywhere?Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Hi all!
I'm looking a bit pale at the moment as I had a good scrub last night and applied 1 layer after, I need a couple more layers to get back to my usual colour!
I am going to order the booster drops from Suntana which Malibu Barbie mentioned, they are much cheaper then celeb secrets and also 1% stronger so I really hope they are as good or better!
Wow, 7000 is alot of sample requests! It is a shame if people are just requesting it for the sake of it being free.
I think I will give the fake bake moisturiser a go once I have finished using up all my old moisturisers!

Hello,
I'm a super-pale princess who has purchased a spray tanning gun from ebay.
Now I just need the solution. I was looking at the coconut Suntana - as it is eight per cent would experienced tanners say this would be OK?
I would love to have caramel-coloured skin but would look so wrong on me as v v white, don't even tan in real sun.
Just come back from a week in France, OH is pale and freckly and even he has a tan.
Me - got a spray tan before I went which wore off in three days leaving me with heat rash. Sniff.DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -
Hi Princess Jane, it depends on your colouring we seem to of worked out that pink toned people need a higher %, check the veins on the inside of your wrist if your not sue if your pink or yellow toned, blue veins then your pink toned, green veins your yellow toned, inbetween then your neutral. If you are yellow toned a 6 or 8% will probably give a good result if your pink I would start on a 10%, neutral start with an 8% - hth lets us now how you get on, also regular light layers wear better than several at once:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

 My 4 year old son has just got hold of my Celeb Secrets 16% spray bottle out of my makeup bag and liberally misted the whole bathroom with it.
Thank god a little goes a long way. Don't know what colour he'll end up as I can't really tell how much has gone on him. I should scrub him in the bath but the Bad Mum part of me says "lesson learned, son"0
