In my HHC I carried on decluttering the bookshelves in the conservatory BUT in the meantime the kids have covered my kitchen in brown paint and their new jeans (ie wearing for the first time today new:mad:) so hex I will be joining you in the HHC and cleaning my kitchen.

The kids' jeans - should I soak them first do you think or just get them straight in the WM as soon as my current wash is finished?

I'd rinse under running water rather than soak (which might spread the colour), and I'd also scrub the stains (once rinsed) with soap/laundry liquid and a scrubbing brush before washing.

    Hope it works!

Hi Toots :hello:.....whenever you have a spare minute....Thursday's list is completed :j! After lunch I have to unpack a large online shop. Don't you think it is just the worst part of shopping?!? dd and ds like to rumage through the bags, which makes the job even harder sometimes! It has not stopped raining this morning, so I will have to get the tumble dryer going in the garage. I stripped all the beds this morning, so there is loads of drying to get done.

Toots - thanks for your post yesterday (trying to slowly catch up with the thread). I should not really complain about the morning sickness; I'm sure the nausea with the chemo is horrible, and much worse. My Dad is about to start chemo, after finding out that he has a tumour in one of his kidneys, and they have just found out that it has spread to his lungs. He is so frightened about the treatment; its just horrible. I actually mentioned you to Dad recently. I have not been with the thread that long, but you have always come across as a really positive person. You always have time for anyone that needs a bit of support, despite what you are dealing with in your own life. Dad is really excited about the baby, so hopefully it will give him a good reason to fight this horrible illness.

    - you made me feel so much better the other day. My daughter is 5, and all she will eat is pasta and pesto too  (oh and marmite sandwiches!) I worry so much that she is not getting a well balanced diet; but it made me feel better, to know that we are not the only ones going through this stage!

    - thanks for your best wishes with regards to the morning sickness! _pale_ I have felt yucky all morning. Hopefully it will start to ease a bit as the pregnancy goes on (keep everything crossed for me!!! :D)

Well time to get on I suppose. Enjoy your afternoon! Love and best wishes to you all xx

I have been a bit tardy in reporting my HHC results - DD came home from her sleepover and needed feeding so I fed me. Then she collected new batteries for remote control and then informed me that it was broken. I removed the new batteries, replaced the old ones the right way round and told her the reson it all isn't working is because I powered down my standby saver (cleaning behind the TV yesterday) and now I can't make it work...
washing brought in and draped on maiden in front of open window as it began to rain; bathroom cleaned all bar the floor and kitchen window and window sill cleaned (that window is huge and awkward to get at)

Now I need to wash pots and clean kitchen then mop floor in there then the bathroom...
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY
