You can stop that kind of thought process right now missy. It will not solve problems for anyone least of all you. Plus there are some people on here who will struggle to read that.
We are all here to support each other through the good times and the bad so please see my post as a positive (which is how it is intended).
Kids are now prune like and out of the bath. I have decluttered a few emails but not much more.
Lunch now and then onwards.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Found the new Cooker for me!
Cannon Keswick C50GKS 50cm Double Gas Cooker - Silver
From Dixons, £419.67 including delivery, fitting, disconnection of old appliance and removal of old one. For currys it was 89 quid more and they didn't specify that they'll disconnect old one! I'm looking for a discount code at the moment then will hopefully order it whether I find one or not! Didn't really want the expense at the mo but the old one is really on its last legs, 15 years old too.
Woohoo I found a 3% off gas cookers code that takes it down to £408.96. Just a quick look for a better code and I'm done
Anyone have a Cannon gas cooker? How is it?
I have a dirty little secret - when I was cleaning the oven on monday I pulled it away from the cupboards it is slotted between so I could look down the back and I saw that the sides of it are coated in about two years of gross drips and fat , and the floor beneath it is black and the cupboard sides are filthy - so that's a job I will be doing soon. I would be mortified if the fitters arrived and I had to have it fitted into a dirty space!IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
Phew I can tell I haven't been flying in the bathroom of late. I'm sweating buckets and I still haven't finished. Usually only takes me half an hour tops:rolleyes: Nearly done though;)0

I wonder if we have children fathered by the same inconsiderate moron?
To be fair to the grandparents, they send money - which is fine. DS can buy what he needs or put it towards computer games etc which is his thing at the moment.
But good-old-daddy (who has bought my son 3 xmas presents in SEVEN years) and has yet to remember his birthday insists on buying the biggest, most uselss present he can find as he knows I then have to transport it 500 miles home. Christmas past was a Robosapian/roboraptor type thing, which came in a massive box, has been played with once and is taking up room which we dont really have. Im going to hide it in a cupboard and see if DS even asks where it is!
Three christmas' ago it was a scaletrix set which is too big to even be built in a house and DS is not the slightest bit interested in it. It has never been out of the box.
Does he think that by wasting a £100 to make my life difficult in having to get it home, he is actually benefiting (sp?) his son in any way?
Anyway, sorry, rant over.
Someone asked earlier about how do parents that work full time manage everything.....the short answer is, cos you just have to....and often we dont! Thats why we are on here looking for the help and support and guidance to get us through! :rotfl:
I work full time, but am a single parent, so only one salary coming in.....I would love to work less hours and be able to spend more time at home with little one and not let the housework etc take over. But in short, I cant afford to.
Anyway, its nearly 1pm, im still in bed reading this thread......Im going! Im going! Im going!!Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying
