    QUESTION..

I being a girl with inch long pretty painted nails... how difficult is it to put up a shelf?? I can wallpaper.. and lay carpet.. and erect kitchen units.. and fix a plug etc.. but using a drill (not that I have one!) is something that does make me a little nervous!! Tell me I am a girl and need a manly beast to come do it for me! :p

I would definitely need my manly beast to do anything like that for me - I'm a fairly useless girl when it comes to DIY, although I can paint and fill holes in walls fairly well. lol
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I hate drills... they're noisy and don't behave. HOWEVER... I'm sure you are perfectly capable of doing this yourself. It's not worth buying a drill for though, so you might as well get the person lending you the drill to put the shelf up - it'll mean that they don't have to wait to get it back

Toots thanks for my star. Just making pancakes as promised for the kids and then I shall get out in that garden.

Hello all, back in the garden for me today, got a pile about 3 ft high which spans a good 20x10ft of trees to debranch and get in the chipper. DS2 got bitten when we were away and now has a massive infected patch on his chest so he's batheing that while I sort something to put on it :( he's more upset there is a swimming party on next week and he won't be able to go if it's bad still. Laundry is getting there, think I have about 8 or 9 loads left to do!

Hope you are all well, hugs to those who need/want one xx
One day I might be more organised...........

Pigpen - I can do most things around the house DIY wise. But I haven't and won't use a drill. Defo a case for a manly beast ;)

Mr Tag and DS have been decluttered to football. So P & Q for a couple of hours.

I have been up to mischief already though.:p Mr Tag has some old plates that he insists on keeping. Well that's fine by me as long as they are kept in the loft out of the way, which is where I tried to put them last week. Mr Tag did protest and refused to allow me access to them 'cos they will get broken' So he shoved them down by the side of our bed, very safe place, NOT and then promptly tripped over them this morning and nearly broke them:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:.

Guess where they are now, bearing in mind Mr Tag is out:p:p:p:p:p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've done some sorting out on my work diary. It's confusing me... meetings I've declined keep reappearing (mind you, I think people keep updating them and sending them in the hope that I'll just give in!), and some that I thought were in there keep disappearing, and ones I thought I'd told my new boss's PA to move because they clash with a longstanding meeting that my boss will also have to come to still appear to be clashing...

Definitely need to get outside. And I MUST do my expenses and objectives later today.

    Morning All,

Have hoovered through downstairs - again, decluttered downstairs - am about to give the sofas a wipe over but have cleaned the patio doors as they were covered in doggy snot.

I walked him down to the shop this morning for some fresh milk, paper, toilet roll and then back so he is snoozing at my feet at the minute. Well, he was.....I spoke too soon.

Anyway have also dusted TV and lounge as seems to be more dusty than usual. I need to check my list......did I already dust this week?

I have also set up the iron......for BF to iron his golf gear.

Have hoovered up the stairs and will hoover upstairs in a minute.

Think i may have a cup of tea first xx
