Has anyone noticed petrol prices creeping up again?

It seems to happen every summer now. If they start hitting ludicrous prices like last summer its going to cause mayhem. Apparently there's a number of oil ships that are strategically sitting in international waters waiting for the prices to rise before they dock and offload their contents to the refineries.
I think i'm going to have to invest in a bike.

it will only add fuel (no pun intended) to the fire of this recession, more bad news0 -
Yeah I've noticed it, just a penny or two, but definitely rising. If it continues it really will put an end to deflation, in my opinion.
Oil prices rising a sign of economic recovery?
Investing in a bike is not a bad idea, keep you fit and you'll save a heck of a lot of money.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

Deflation only exists in the mind of the government anyway, those of us who have to buy our own !!!!!!, out of our own pockets already know where prices are heading.:rolleyes:0 -

A letter from the Redditch Advertiser (Jacqui Smiths soon to be ex-constituency)
Petrol prices
10:13am Monday 6th April 2009
IS it not about time that we car drivers boycotted Tesco’s petrol station in Redditch.
They set the benchmark for the price of fuel in our other supermarkets in the town, and this week – in response to the Government increase in fuel duty of 2p per litre – they promptly increase diesel prices by 4p per litre.
If you go outside Redditch you are able to find lower fuel prices at numerous other petrol stations including those owned by the same supermarket chains.

Given that Oil is dollar denominated and our bankrupt currency is tumbling like a stone then it is understandable why Petrol is sky rocketing in price.
When the full impact of printing money comes in to effect this is going to be our future. Sky rocketing prices and high inflation."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

on tv other night,,some oil companies are leaving oil tankers in bays and not bringing it ashore because oil price too cheap0

One of the results of petrol prices rocketing like they did a few months ago was that food prices started going through the roof. Yet isn't it strange that when petrol prices returned to more sustainable levels, food prices stayed high. Same applies to gas & electricity. We are all being taken for mugs0

Its the Budget on the 22 April so you can bet it will go up again !"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
