18 years old, £14k a year, £16k with overtime and £1.6k in debt. My pay goes up in the summer, round about the end of July to £18k a year, a touch under £21k with the overtime i do. Hoping to make £5k from the £100 to £10k challenge, will save every penny from that plus hopefully £4k from my wages to make total of £10k savings by the end of the year while also paying off my £1.6k loan. Anything can happen but think this will be my year :)
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

  • 22, about £600 debt, £13k or so salary, £3k savings. Debt is interest free before anyone queries why I've got any debt at all when I've got that much saved ;)

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time
  • 36, about 40K or so salary.

It doesn't half get on my tits seeing people earning a fortune and yet struggling with money, with some of the wages you are on I'd be debt free and actually have savings for the first time in my life :( However having said that I also know what it's like when I get pay increases it never seems to make a difference, I suppose you spend what you have. (I'm just venting :D)

    Anyway's

I'm currently on £14k - £16,400 with the regular bonus I recieve, Age: 23 and I'm in roughly £17,500 debt.

    Depressing eh?

See I walk around saying, "oh to be 12 again" :D

I'll never get anyway with money until I'm debt free, I'll end up single as well at this rate because after the court rapes me over this current claim I will end up with no money to socialise with, oh I do love life! Merry Xmas people! :D:D

  • lol...'after the court rapes me over this current claim'...I like that...

You know 17.5K of debt isn't that bad in comparison to what you earn...Can you not borrow some money from your parents/sibblings...and pay some or all of the debt off....

I have done this in the past when i have struggled....

It's NOT the amount of debt that is the big problem...it is the interest...

My Debt's are in a horrendous state, I can't get much help with them because of the way I have done it,
£6k is a loan in my mum's name, so I have no choice as to pay this as I don't want to leave them in trouble as they can't afford anything as it is.
£7k is student loans, which fortunately I don't start paying yet.
£4k is what I am being taken to court for, accomodation fees that I never paid
Then I have plenty of smaller debts that I have no issues with and will get to when I can.
